If you go the idata maestro route I’m told you keep that. I went with a different harness but I still can see/use the one at my odometer. Steering wheel controls it Bluetooth Siri and everything. It was worth the sound upgrade and mirroring my phone onto the 7” screen to me

I’d like the remote start but dont like the inability to keep the truck running when I open the door to get in. Kinda kills it for me, having to restart again.

I hear you on the chrome bumper deal, currently working on a solution.

The blizzard of 2018. Shoveled my way out to check on ole blue. A foot of snow and a warm Taco. I like my tacos salt free. All is right with the world. Thank God for snow shovels and winter thongs.

I finally received the blank stickers a couple days ago since the first try got lost by the illustrious USPS. Without the logo, the different base color seems to really stick out:

    IMG_20180102_164301.jpg

I was hoping that it would blend better in daylight, but it is about the same. 3dcarstickers.com said the color is 85% gray. I would probably go for 95% if I was going to do it again. Even if it stickers were darker than the paint, I think I would like it more. Either way, I am happier with these than the chrome logo.

    Thanks for the recommendation.

I didn’t really take any, except for post install. The instructions that come with are fairly well detailed, and from their website they link to a you tube video that helps shows were all the connections are as well. Just pay close attention to the color of the wire, and what PIN number it correlates too just to confirm you’ve got the right one.

Manual hubs or the 4WD conversion? I'll be honest I don't even know if PreRunner exists anymore on Tacomas. I did this on a first gen and all it required was changing the transmission to the 4WD counterpart, adding the front Differential, and swapping out the Steering knuckles plus driveshaft. Took about a week but people have done it in a weekend.

Don't like going to the dealership?
    Hate mark-up on OEM/factory parts?
Want parts at fair or better prices?

    Try out Bam Wholesale Parts.
Just ordered a TRD Off-Road recovery hook ($82) and the bed mat for my long bed ($95.)

    Free shipping over $75.

I found it hard to beat. My local dealer wanted $140 for the bed mat, I didn't even bother asking about the hook.
