Just ordered the Squadron Sport Pair and brackets for the 2011 Tacoma. It’s hard to tell from the night shots as to what they will look like in person. I’ll figure out if I want to upgrade to the Pro model after I get to use them. One final question. Is the wiring harness the same for the Sport and Pro?

I have a CBI Off Road T3 bumper that needs a 20" single row light bar. What would you recommend? They like the Rigid unit and I got a quote for $535 for one today. What would you have that would work for my application?
    Thanks

Unfortunately we don't have too many photos of the Squadron Racer. Here is a customer shot showing his pair on hood mounts:

The wiring harness will be the same for the Squadron Sport and Squadron Pro. They both utilize 16 gauge wiring and the included harness will work for either model.

Our 20" S8 LED Light Bar is a great option!
    https://www.bajadesigns.com/products/S8-20-inch-Driving-Combo-LED-Light-Bar.asp

The 20" S8 will put out a total of 8,000 Lumens and will provide a nice blend of nearfield, midfield, and distance lighting. Pricing is a little bit cheaper at $521.10 with the forum discount (Coupon Code: BDForums).

Have a different pattern hex bit? I have a bunch of dual pin types and have drilled holes in fastener faces to accommodate them. Then just replace them after removal.

If you find a Torx/Star bit of slightly larger size and tap it in with a hammer you can usually remove the stripped bolt. Hope this helps!

Any way I can order just a weather proof connector for a Squadron Sport? Need an extra female connector.

I originally tried tapping into the DRL but the relay is after the fuse so it will result in constant hot. I ended up connecting mine to the “washer” fuse left of the steering column. It’s 10A, turns on/off with truck, and isn’t attached to anything important (tapping into an airbag or ECU freaks me out). Will attach pics when I get home from work in 2 weeks.

We do carry and sell the delphi weatherpack connectors, pins, and seals for our lights. These can also be found at some of our dealers like SDHQ or Amazon if needed.

First off, when installing a light in the A-pillar position, any recommendations between the Squadron and XL size? Been going back and forth for a while on size. Leaning towards the racer editions.

Second, when installing lights in the A-pillar position. There is the Security Hardware Kit that screws into the sides of the light unit. Nothing you can really do for the bottom mount to the bracket? So, in that position there really is not a lot you can do for security. Correct? Any suggestions? Would really hate for them to walk off on me.

Both the Squadron Series and XL Series lights are great for the A-Pillar location. A lot comes down to personal preference on the sizing and the look. One thing to consider is the XL Series is larger and heavier and not all hood mounts can hold the additional weight without vibration. @SDHQ OFFROAD makes some very stout mounting solutions that can certainly hold either option!

The security hardware secures the mounting bracket to the light itself. We don't have a security nut/bolt with for the 3/8" mounting bolt. We have had a few customers source aftermarket hardware similar to winch security bolts but I'm not aware of a "go-to" option.

I personally love the S2 Pro's for ditch light mounts. Low key because they're tiny, but pack a pretty good punch too!

I'm looking for a better version of high beams, but don't want to cut grill (S8) or lose light behind my grill (OnX6).

Bailey. You think something like this once installed and locked would be good? Thanks. At least slow them down.

I haven't personally used it but from the specs it should work great! First, you need to install the stainless mounting bracket onto the hood/ditch light bracket with that security bolt. From there you install our light onto the stainless mounting bracket with our security hardware. The two combined will greatly slow or stop someone down from removing lights.

Btw, Here is a customer shot of our Squadron Racers at night on hood mounts:
