Exactly. If my truck would respond to a blip like it does when stopped/clutch in, AT ANY SPEED IN ANY SITUATION, I would be happy. All other benefits of OVtune would be gravy (nice tasty gravy).

I still haven't found justification for The price of an OVTune.

I'm not real happy with low end torque, and I don't always want to go over 3500rpm for that power, but, I deal with it.

Once you learn the little quirks of the truck, you just get used to it.

When upshifting or downshifting, it's completely necessary to blip the throttle or else it's a rough transition.

I have driven manual transmissions since I could drive, and if you are experienced, you'll make it work.

In the mean time, we shall see how OVTune progresses.

I get what you're saying, but IMO the throttle response in stock form was downright dangerous at times. I have 35 years experience driving manuals, and in fact could "make it work". I had to learn a fucked up way to drive though, going completely against everything my experience taught me. Thanks for that, Toyota. No, this isn't my first vehicle with complicated electronics in the mix. I'm also not some old codger longing for a deezul or carbureted engine. The OEM calibration sucked IMO and I'm not going back. Disclaimer: my ECU version is 04B10 so the stock driving experience could very well be different from yours.

I buy manuels for 3 reasons, more control of drive train for better feel of road for aggressive winter driving.better control of engine power,I say what rev and what gear for any scenario,no that better feul economy means your engine is working harder witch means less life.and 3 MT lasts longer.

When operating any machinery smooth transition of moving parts is key for longevity.
The jolting some drivers are experiencing is from DEFCO kicking on and off and is most pronounced in MTs because we have more feel.your costing along the Hwy let off throttle DEFCO kicks on not to bad slight jolt as engine shuts down but just touch the throttle and BANG engine come back life and sends jolt through drive line.
Now add REV HANG to mix and wooh.
REV HANG must go for this tune to be worth the price at a minimum.get rid of DEFCO I'll pay more$$$$$$$$
I posted earlier if OVTUNE Can kill the DEFCO to make option for us to try ,while this will lead to higher feul consumption it will give best throttle by cable feel..

So, potentially 2 OVTune MT's in Toronto if shit works out. What's your build date to try and guesstimate your ECU version. I'm a 9/15 build and VERY likely a B410 tune.

Oh I know lol...but until I have empirical data, I'll couch the odds lol. You, me, Ares, Nevadabugle...looking to add incentive for Matt to master the 410 for us freaks lol

Yes I let it run and got a operation complete/successful message. Saved the file and sending the email to OVTune now. I have to admit this has been the most stressful mod so far, even more than cutting into my bumper to install the SSO Slimline,LoL. I am not the best with computer stuff so it's been a bit of a learning curve for me. Like I mentioned before,it would be nice if OVTune could get this set up in an autorun format. Plug in the USB/dongle hit run and watch the magic happen.
