whats our inner tie rod end part number? for the 4wd if it makes a difference

 

The OEM parts number can be sourced easily from Camelback Toyotas parts site. But I'd get these, they've held up great for me and fit perfect.

thanks going to try these my steering rack looks like its leaking but im going to try some power steering stop leak first to see if it fixes the issue. it doesnt feel like its going out. making a list of repair/maintenance parts to order asap. tie rod end inner/outer, valve cover gaskets, carrier bearing, lbj's, cv axles, clean the idler air control valve, timing belt, water pump, rear brakes and check out the transfer case. she is greasy worried that the gasket is bad or a seal is out. theres still fluid for sure

 

And we have all done it, if we've been wrenching for any period of time!

Yea, I'm having good luck with them so far on ice, snow and that hard packed snow that it turned to ice

If your going to buy a new rack buy an oem one. It cost so much mostly because it comes with two oem inner tie rods...which are 130 bucks a pop.

So really the oem rack is a deal. Haha

 

Similar to my F150 situation, starter went out so I replaced it in late November before snow hit thinking "Oh good got it done before the winter and big snow storms", two weeks later and 1.5 feet of snow starter shits the bed. Had to replace the started in the street, in the snow with junk tools my girlfriends dad had.

 

If it makes you feel better I left mine in drive and left it parked for a few days, when I hopped in it I couldn't figure out why it wouldn't start. I tried jumping it, tried cleaning the terminals, tried a different battery, then I looked down and realized it was in drive.

 

I just checked pics from my re-gear - also the same as the 4WD one. I wonder why the Prerunner is different, and does it matter if you have a Prerunner with a locker (which I thought they made some of)?

Fridge next = good call. Way more convenient than the convenience of some aux fuel tank. You'll use that fridge several times every day.

 

I forgot how much space the stock muffler occupies, could basically jam a whole gas tank in the space that restriction occupies. That is where I always planned to put an air tank, but then realized an air tank is really not necessary :/

 

Whew! Quite the job. A bit more than I expected but, nice!

 

Now that would be nice. I think I may keep this on my bucket list for the time when I can afford to take my DD offline for a while. Thanx for the input.
