Change of plans. She doesn’t want the stereo upgrade and I’m not going to keep it around in case she changes her mind because that could take ages.

A grand takes it which boils down to $300 off plus whatever shipping would be. Non-JBL 5th gen 4Runners.

    Yeah.
That's a really nice kit, great install video -- I had not heard of these guys. Good value considering everything you get, too. Getting a similar mid-range system pieced together through Crutchfield, including the amp wiring and everything you need for install, is going to run you at least as much if not more. Sadly, I don't have a 4Runner that this would go in.

I checked out their Tacoma system, and their sub box looks similar in shape to the one I built out of MDF for my 2009, although theirs looks way better! GLWS!

Good news, The Ford is finally gone. Cost me a new rego, battery, and starter to get rid of it but it's in Texas now and I refuse to allow it to come back. Now to get rid of another tractor and some lawn equipment so I can finally get some space back on the left side of the shop.

FIrst, welcome to TacomaWorld! And second, we have the tools to do this job at the shop and can help guide you through it. Wear some clothes that you don't mind getting dirty and a set of spares to switch into for the ride home. You'll find that the St. Louis area group is full of really great people who genuinely like to help each other work on stuff as well as get together to socialize and plan future wheeling/touring events.

Awesome and thank you!!! I don't know where your shop is but am looking forward to being able to do something on my own!!!! I met you at the lost creek ride. Maybe this will help me save some money for some new tires.

Why would you want to go anywhere else? Just buy the assembled 3rd member from ECGS and install it yourself. I'm sure a place like PUR performance could do it for you but it would be a lot more expensive.

You can talk to Austin Wolf at www.wolf-fab.com about it as he does excellent work but I think going with ECGS is the ideal solution in both speed and cost.

New year bringing in new faces. You will find that the St. Louis area group is a solid group of folks who love adventuring and working on trucks together. I’m lucky to have the space to host a mod/shop day at my place in Belleville, IL where we help each other with mod and maintenance projects. We don’t push our noses up to different models or brands, but since we all met here for the most part then we all obviously have or like Tacoma’s.

You are all welcome to join us at our next get together on the 20th of January. No projects necessary, just come hang out, we promise not to try to convince you to convert your daily driver into a dedicated trail rig.
