I suppose that depends on how many unique pieces are in the set. The box and instructions alone will take time, as they are much bigger than any other cardstock LEGO has in inventory. The parts are injection molded, so you have to set up the machines for each unique part. I'm not sure how many "standard" grey bricks are in the UCS Falcon and how many custom bricks are in there. I'm guessing they borrowed heavily from the Technic sets which have a different attachment system then old school legos. Given the complexity of these parts, it will take LEGO some time to set up and run more batches. Will they? My guess is most probably. Their sales have dropped for the first time ever, and they are getting great publicity from this set.
The big question for me is what's the profit on a set like this? Given the complexity of some parts and the time to produce; is the UCS Falcon a money maker for LEGO? This will really determine how long they will keep making the set.
A few months ago, I decided to "upgrade" my home Mindstorms EV3 set to the Educational version. You can make more stuff, and I think the Education set is more fun. Since LEGO doesn't sell an official upgrade pack, I researched the required bicks and ordered them through various sources. Total cost was around $30 for bricks, as I opted not to get the expensive sensors and battery pack. It was a great learning experience for me in terms of LEGO costing. Some parts are pennies, but some can get fairly expensive.
This brings me back to the UCS Falcon. With 7,541 bricks, the standard $800 price makes it about 11 cents a brick. When you think about it, that's pretty darn good considering the price of some Technic bricks. That also has to include the box and massive instruction set. Don't forget royalties to Luca..... ah Disney I mean.
I suppose one day someone will upload the parts list and run it through the LEGO bricks cost calculator. I'd be curious to know the street value brick cost on something like this. I'd also love to know if I already own 99% of the bricks already. It would be a hoot to cobble my own Falcon using stuff I already own. Hmmm. Well, I've rambled enough today. Those who have the Falcon should enjoy, and others just wait till the next batch. Don't get screwed by the scalpers.

Am I the only one that opens up all the individual bags and mixes them all together to make the build more challenging?

    Apparently not :)

I'm still afraid to mix my sets together. I know I could build much better things if I did.... but I just can't do it.

I don't mean different sets, I just remember as a kid, they didn't separate the build into separate portions with like 4-5 instruction booklets. I just throw everything together and go at it.

Heck in my day, I would lump all my LEGOs together and start building stuff without opening the book. I would only follow the book after I got bored and wanted something to do.

Now I'm old and stay between the lines.

I actually toyed with doing that with the falcon, then I decided 19 hours was better than 190 hours.

I have done that with a couple sets now, did it with the 7965 falcon and one of the Star destroyers. I just can’t get myself to do it with a UCS set yet cause the bags serve a nice check on if a piece got missed before the end.

Ordered the parts to build the vertical falcon stand in black. Couldn’t get a few of the parts in Black so I settled on grey. Maybe down the road I’ll swap em out.
