    It's on my shell.

I don't remember seeing it bending any of the bar, but I can go look at it tomorrow, it's had a month or so to settle.

It's also just a temporary thing; it was put up there for wheeling & Big Bend when I wanted to carry two spares. Back in town, I really only need one.

Weird, if you can take a couple pictures of how it is up there.

I was trying to find the pictures of when I did mine, but the three middle crossbars that are not being supported by anything except the sides, two of them wanted to bow under the weight of the tire.

So I wanted to buy more feet for the rack as that would help it, but at $60 a pair, I thought I would try this option out to mount it on the two crossbars that the feet are attached to as they are the strongest I think...

    @Naveronski

Found the pictures I had take of it...
Those two cross bars will bow under the weight since they don't have the feet to help provide more support for them.

So was going to do a cargo basket of sorts that would span between these two crossbars and help to distribute the weight and also help to secure the tire better as well.

Noticing first off, my tire is a bar farther forward than yours; its as far forward as it can be without overhanging the front bar. Maybe that makes a difference.

I'll take a pic, but it's cold outside.

    No rush on it.

And yea, i guess I could go one bar forward on it more... but would be harder to try and remove it as I stand on the tailgate to put it up and take it off.

Since I think you said you were planning a swingout somewhere in the future, figured I would show my current temp set up.

It barely fits a 33 but works and keeps it snug against the back wall. The loss off space doesnt bug me with it upright but I have a crappy dodge ram to dd and haul things if needed. Think it was $15 at northern tools, I dont like expensive temporary solutions but to each their own.

For the bowing issue, maybe what you need is something reinforcing the side rails? Some adjustable rubber feet on the bottom of the middle rails would work too, probably cheaper than prinsu direct.

On my own rack hunt, I'm extremely close to pulling the trigger on the Rago Rugged Mid-Level setup. Basically 2 bed bars at 12", some nice huge gusset plates for bolting shit to the sides, and they're throwing in two top rails that I can also bolt / strap stuffs too. Thinking of adding a Yakima rack (with or without the extender), for extra-extra storage space for extra-extra long trips:

For Those if you who installed a new roof rack and used a hole punch through your roof strips, any tips and tricks on aligning the holes up exactly? I don’t want to punch the holes and then find out I’m off alignment wise. Might install my new rack this weekend depending on temps and time.

Don't use my method, mine has a few oblong holes. But I do have all the tools.

Find your cab holes. Put the strips back on the truck, mark holes. Remove. Punch holes. Done.

If you’re off a little, meh, it’s flexible.

I bought a set of hole punches and received them. I was just unsure how those of you marked the holes exactly on the actual strips? I was going to use tape and mark out the locations next to the holes on the actual body of the truck and then transfer it to the strips, but still unsure.

Tape and pencil. You can see a pencil mark on the rubber easily
