Ventura, Ojai, Oxnard, Santa Barbara -Lets go Offroading

SATURDAY JUNE 19th. MEET UP AT NORDHOFF HIGH SCHOOL IN OJAI. PROB JUST GONNA BE A DAY TRIP, UNLESS PEOPLE WANT TO CAMP. I WAS JUST BACK IN THE AREA ON JUNE 7th AND IT WAS VERY HOT. PREP ACCORDINGLY.

hey guys, lets find a weekend to go back to Lockwood Valley in the mountains behind Ojai and hit up some trails and explore. TW member Ruler knows some great places to go and he said he can lead.

We were thinking about Cuyama Peak and Quatal Canyon. There's an old fire lookout tower at the top of Cuyama Peak and Quatal Canyon have some good prerunning, from what i hear. Ruler says both trails are 2WD friendly.

sweet, i've been back there before and there's some cool trails. it'll be fun. so far we'll have 4 trucks including you, me, ruler and my buddy aaron (member here too)

there's random shit too. when i went back there last time my brother and i went to this WWI re-enactment battlefield. i was pretty cool

 

If I'm free for one of those days I will go. Looks like it will be fun.

 

If it's 2wd I'm down. I should be free on at least one of those days. When it gets closer I'll let you know fersure. It's good that your planning this, this early in advance so more people can make it

crappp i just switched firefighter explorer posts and we have meetings every sat from 9-12. if i can get out of that weekend im in

 

I'm down to go, buuuut I work Saturdays. may be able to get it off but won't know until the friday before. Lockwwood valley is way cool. Been camping / shooting / riding back there for years.

 

maybe we can do sunday if that still works for most everybody. i'm almost 100% that i can do either day. the more the better.
