    Level lift
Bought my 2017 Tacoma Sport DCSB 4x4 with 4 miles. Before I arrived to pick the truck up had the dealer install a level lift on the front. As driving off the the lot heard a noise coming from the front end. Brought the truck back and the dealership. Toyota tech claims to not hear the humming. Advice to Toyota tech is goes away after I put the truck in 4 HI. He advice me of the TSB. After I picked up of him fixing the needle bearing on passenger side, still seeing the same issue. Just upset how this is being handle. Just spent 35k and upset about the how Toyota dealership is handling it. But on the other side if its a know issue to you that have a lift then I guess I will let it be. Please feedback IMG_2475.jpg would be great!

The needle bearing that goes out is on the drivers side. Never heard of passenger side going out. Mine was also lifted by dealer so everything was covered. Mine went out twice so They eventually put ECGS bushing in at no cost.

The ECGS bushing solves the issue. This has been well documented on the site (I've personally used it).

The tough thing will be getting the dealer to pay for the fix. You could argue that their lift is what caused the issue, but it gets into a weird grey area where the dealer installed an aftermarket part that requires an additional aftermarket fix. They could easily fall back on the "non-OEM parts, no warranty coverage" line, but their choice is what caused it.

Ultimately if you pull the lift, the issue will go away, or you need to add in the bushing. Both will solve the problem, but unfortunately you may be on the hook for the cost of the repair unless you fight it. Shame on the dealer for doing the lift without checking for issues prior to sale, though.

Is there an actual TSB Number for the Needle Bearing on the 2016/2017 Tacoma?
