Driveline vibration fixed in 2016 According to lead Tacoma engineer.

its been 2 years and 2017,s are still coming from the factory low on fluid . They have now known about this issue for 4 years because it happened to our 2nd gen trucks as well

 

They usually are all filled with electronic meter. More than likely they are being filled properly to spec. They are sealed units and transmission fluid expands when it’s warm. I think more than a few have probably been checked without following proper precedure. Even a few that were taken to a dealer to have it done. Now before you get your panties in a bunch I work for a large auto group, and while we have some guys who really know stuff, we also have some people that probably shouldn’t be allowed to touch a vehicle. It’s like that in a lot of places. I just don’t see how they could have some many inconsistencies. Perhaps they are hand filling or a person must dial the number in before pumping. I guess anything is possible. But usually when something like this happens repeatidly, and they keep getting repair orders open for the same complaints they investigate and correct the issue. This is a pretty easy issue to correct so I don’t see why they wouldn’t have take action, if in fact they weren’t being filled properly. So unless Toyota’s QDR and customer relations has became that terrible, I’m still calling BS

Maybe you have something here ......Toyotas QDR has possibly become this terrible I dunno ??

 

For everyone looking to fix the driveline vibration while braking. Here is the TSB I used to win the battle against the dreaded service department. It especially helped that my VIN was on the TSB, as well.

 

They still don't use greaseable ujoints.

 

My 18 Tacoma SR5 access cab is vibrating between 40-60 and is the worst at 50, I can feel it in the steering wheel and gas pedal, I only have 400 miles on it and already changed tires so I could eliminate that, I have an appointment with dealer next Friday to have them check it out, if they can't fix it, it will be gone down the road and no more Toyota's for me.
