Yes, laminated plywood, not chipboard. They are going to be painted, not stained.

I second that. Most places will do it for free. Some places charge a small fee after the 2nd cut.

You could probably rent a nicer table saw from a hardware store for cheaper, especially if you won't use it often. It's $44 a day to rent one at my home depot

Unless your getting a higher grade plywood, no voids ect the look your trying to achieve will require far more work, time and money that getting the correct product to start with.

I had that table saw. its good for projects around the house. I used it for cutting fence boards to fill gaps, some mdf, and some flooring and it worked fine. For anything large though....yeah it doesn't really work that well. I had better luck using a Kreg Rip-Cut on sheets of plywood than using the table saw.

IMO...youd be better off having the store cut them than trying to do it with the Kobalt. Save some frustration at least!

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
I would buy the whole sheets, make a quick track saw type jig (see pic), quarter the sheets, and then rip away on the table saw.

I just used this in my house and it was really easy to install. Level it and nail it up with finish nailer. I did need a table saw to rip the top board but you could do that with a circular saw and a guide if needed. I just painted it yesterday and still have to install the top piece.

You can rip ply on those. I do it on my small DeWalt. That's one of the reasons they made fences to accommodate 24-inch cuts. You just need some outfeed support and caution. The thickness and weight of the sheets needs to be in your comfort zone to handle the material safely.

But yeah, for your project, just buy shiplap. Sooo much easier and better result.

Are any of you guys builders/contractors in or near Lower Merion / Montgomery County Pennsylvania?

I just bought a new home in Ardmore and will be putting a two story addition on the back. I know I can do most of the work myself, but Ill be up in CT until summer and also need someone who is licensed in that area to handle the project for me.

Any recommendations would be great as well! Thanks

Any recommendations on a Hydronic Garage Heater for a single car insulated garage? Should I look a certain BTU output? The current one (the original from the mid 60's) is beginning to whine. Heat output is fine, it's the motor that's going. All the plumbing connections, are exposed and easily accessed right in the garage. The shut off valves are down by the boiler. It's got a cord that goes to a wall mounted thermostat and a cord where it plugs into an outlet.

I'm from that area, but moved to Phoenix a year ago. I flipped a few homes and have good contacts for granite and tile, and know some good guys who do HVAC and drywall. Let me know if you're in need of any recommendations. Ardmore's great - my wife went to St Joe's and we lived in Manayunk before moving to Phoenix so we've spent a good bit of time in that area. Check out Tired Hands Brewery.

Do you want a whole heater or is it just the circulation pump that is going bad? Pictures? Google search the make/model would be my advice.
