All I really remember is meeting for guys from South Korea in a stock Jeep coming up big sluice while we where headed down. A friend of mine did his duty and smoked them out and downed a bottle of Jack with them at witch time I fell down the hill to the right all the way to the creek. Never spilled a drop!

 

Man I loved having winters off when I was a grade setter / operator. That ship sailed when I became a foreman (8 yrs ago).

 

I like to screw around for a few months out if the year. The when spring hits I go to work and screw around.

Thinking about doing a day trip to Mendocino NF this weekend. I have never been through there, and will be going into the southern part of the forest. I know a couple of you go up there somewhat often... any tips? Cool little areas to pull off and play with the pup/make some lunch? Best roads to enter from the south (near Clear lake) and explore?

Saw 2 totaled 1st gens on Hwy 17 this morning, hope know one was injured.

People don't know how to drive that road, been commuting for about 6 months know and people are idiots!!

I'd like to go camp out at spider lake and buck island for a three or four day trip this coming summer. Anyone it that annually?

 

I hear you man- I lost a sweet 1st gen on HWY 17. Be careful on that road and do not over estimate your driving skills or the idiot next to you trying to pass on the right. If it has just rained I usually leave work early just to avoid the mess. I do use my chase lights when it starts to get hairy or rude and that usually buys me some more space. I miss that truck.

 

My buddy does with his fam every august. Heard its a good time. Almost made it this year but the wife decided eagles lake instead. They have fifth wheels tho

Yeah I left 20 min early this morning, there was a tree down as well so a little back up at cats.

I cruz in the slow lane and still get tailed, would brake check more but cant pull that on 17.

 

you won't find fiberglass campers there, they are sold direct, no dealers, hence no RV dealer shows. the major fiberglass makers (scamp, casita, escape, oliver, bigfoot) sell as many as they can make direct.
