    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
So... I'm collecting parts for my next Taco Project. I'm looking to see if there is anything I am missing, or if there are things that may be beneficial to think about while I have this part of the truck dismantled. I'm going to have the coolant system flushed prior to avoid crap dislodging into the new water pump. Asking here because it looks like I'll get the best response, there's the most knowledge in this thread... and there really isn't a good place to ask the question without making a new thread.

    I'm ordering the following:
(15 Pc Timing belt/Water pump Kit)
    Timing Belt
    Idler and Tensioner Roller
    Front Crank and Cam Seals
    Water Pump and Gasket
    Hydraulic Tensioner
    Thermostat and Gasket
A/C Belt, Alternator Belt, PS Belt

    And:
    OEM Radiator cap
    Cooling Fan Pulley Bracket
Silicone upper and lower radiator hose

    Anything I'm missing here?

To those who are running allpro expedition leaf packs, what shocks are y’all running? I’m starting to hear a loud ass thump from my RC shocks fully extending.

I have the stock shock mounts btw.

Did this last night! Couldn't finish everything up though and I still need to connect it to the airbox.

Does anyone have a part number for a 96 2.7L 4wd transmission mount?

Handles great- gvw is 6560lbs. A bit of body roll without the sway bar, but dakars + aal & firestone airbags handle the weight easy. It's 700lbs dry, but well over 1k with a year's worth of gear in it and sh*t bolted on to it. Handles great offroad, just take it slow going up and down steep hwy areas like dropping into Jackson Hole, WY on the 22 from Victor, ID. That was a rough descent with the weight.

So glad I removed the sway bar, we hit a semi tire+wheel assembly the other day at 70mph heading across western TX. Bucked the front end up, flipped the tire up like a knuckle puck, & the rear part of the sliders & frame hit it and bucked the rear end up too. We thought we were going to roll and die, but with the suspension & armor we made it out unscathed. Another car that hit it was a Honda, they hit it right before us by about a minute. Destroyed their front bumper, they lost a headlight & the entire side of their car got jacked up. Adventuremobile FTW!

I have a feeling it's the whole not being and park thing and maybe the shift interlock. When the truck is past the START position you can't move the shifter out of park - I feel like the shift interlock is bad. I'm using the black shifter out of a 4Runner.

I'll go unhook the linkage and move it physically to park

You can just try the release button on the top of the shifter as well.

And i still think you need the ECT switch in as it talks to the tranny ecu.

Here’s this if it helps any. I believe the lever for park should be pushed all the way to the back toward the rear end of the the truck

I've been running the discontinued BFG AT for many yrs. They have been great, reliable tires. Thought I would give these a try.

What is the proper way to access the nuts for the bed bolts? Just cutting a hole in the bed and patch it up? In the meantime, still waiting on my SCS wheels to arrive then wrap them with some Stt Pros
