Bummer. I can only imagine all it takes to mess up a steel powder coated grill is a few rock chips and some water penetration.

BPF raptor style grill with Toyota lettering was my first mod in late 2015.
    Still holding up great.

@HomerTaco grills are sweet but couldn’t justify paying more than $200 for an aesthetic piece.

I think the lower valence mesh, grill mesh and lettering was $130 delivered to my door.

To be fair, the difference with Homer is you are paying for a deep dish satoshi and time put into making it when you buy one of his custom grilles. He has the "Ghost" Tacoma/Toyota mesh separately for 2012+ and it falls in that $200 range.

I bought a secondhand deep dish satoshi hackjob and the time even put into getting the mesh cut to correct size/mounted/everything cleaned up and done right takes a lot of time. I can see why it costs what he charges.

But if all you want is the mesh look and don't care for the satoshi then you mineswell just buy the $50 mesh from customcargrilles and DIY it. Even cheaper than BP fab (who bought/cloned Homers 05-11 ACTUAL raptor grille anyway, not the plain mesh referred to as a "raptor grille")

I’d have to agree with you on that.
That deep dish satoshi is a work of art, While the BPF mesh did take some finagling.

BPF insert. Installed myself. Good quality but pretty intense install process

I don’t really have the tools for a DIY mesh install but if I were to get the completed grill set up from Homertaco how hard would that install be?

Only as hard as taking the old grill off and installing the completed new one. A few tabs and 2 screws. Wait time is the only draw back

This was already on my truck when I bought it. Is this the same thing?

From the looks of it I would say yes, I like that bar on the front! Do you know what brand it is? Looks like the avid light bar which is what I’m looking at getting.

That doesn’t sound so bad, I’m willing to wait for a quality product I just wanted to know what I was getting into install wise.
