    0 regret here though. I couldn't be happier with them or more proud of my truck after the last trip. But J5 isn't a street queen either.

    exactly.

    But you can look at how a 33s performs and its hard to justify the cost of the mod and the maintenance unless you really try and tack advantage of them. I now for me i lovvve floating on the big fat cushion of 10psi 35s with LT. Its amazing.

    well..

    The steering is heavy and slow..

    Truck feels bigger to drive(not always a good thing)

    And you laugh at your friends with small tires that drag on things you don't :D

    Then they laugh at you when you tell them how much your tires/regear cost and what mpg you get :laugh:

    The change in overall height is the big one. From what I've seen of the design, lowering the height will also impact the rack structure itself. To get it lower, the the angles of the cross supports will have to change for example. And the size of the side panels such. It could (speculating here) also impact the latching sealing methods.

    Yes, lower CoG is always better.

    These guys designing this thing seemto have thought it all out very thoroughly for the 3rd gen platform. I am just asking for the same thoroughness on the 1st gen platform.

    I still don't understand your concern.

    They've said they'll be building a new frame for the 1st gen. These guys don't seem like the half-ass type.

    How much does a hard-shell RTT plus a rack cost? Then you still don't have as much function and practicality.

    OK looked at my t-case from what I can tell it's seeping from where the transmission meets it. It's bone dry around the shafts rear and forward. So I'm going have to pull the t-case out of put a new gasket on.

    So my A340F only came with the lower pan and dipstick tube - not the upper dipstick tube and the dipstick itself. I am reusing the A340E upper dipstick tube and dipstick but I have a feeling it's not accurate. Do I need an A340F dipstick assembly or will my A340E one work?

    There is currently 2.11 quarts of ATF in the transmission, which is what the FSM states is the "drain and refill" spec. I bought this drained, but pre-filled the torque converter.

    Any ideas?
