    Being so old, I'd like to replace the whole heater. Just putting out a feeler for any suggestions.

    Here's the current heater. It's a Beacon.

    Thanks! I think the way that I tiled the wall makes it looks small, but it is a 32" x 60" x 18"

    Father in law just came over and walked in the bathroom to check it out. Squeezed out a lot of mortar from those floor tiles :bananadead:

    I like to burn in a layer of thinset when doing ditra heat before tiling.

    Good work.
    That toilet flange looks buried now below tile. I used to use double thick wax but have seen the wax fail in time. So I started using flange spacers then thick wax,and long closet bolts :thumbsup:

    Indeed it is. My dad has used the spacers before with good luck. I'm leaving him in charge of toilet setting duties.
