Yeah they really do look mean. I mean there is benefit for tackling bigger holes, or whatever the terminology is. Holes are smaller to bigger tires. This video is what I'm trying to say.

Still not sure if it's worth it for myself, but we'll see. I've got plenty of life on the current tires and plenty of time to decide.

That's the kicker for me. I really want a rear locker, but may as well regear while I'm at it, and if I regear I may as well do it once and go 4.56, which is overkill on a manual with 33s, so I may as well go 35s :goingcrazy: I wish I could install a locker by myself and do only that, and be "done" with it.

    That’s funny. I did 4.56s because “I’ll never do 35s”... Now, I wish I’d went 4.88s

285s and 4.30s on the runner now and seems a little inadequate at times

 Some say 4.56 is good for 35s, then you say not.

We are almost equal. Except you have more experience with things

4.56s are fine. It’s so little a difference, anyone in the know tells me it’s not worth changing now. I’m just saying, had I known, I would’ve gone 4.88s. S/C helps a lot ;)

Now, I’m trting to decide if I want to build my new trailer using my two spare 315s, or new 255s. The debate begins all over again...

Yeah, I ordered the axle yesterday. It’s wide enough to accommodate 315s. The idea was to build and sell the trailer though. Only, I’m kind of falling in love with it...

I'd go 255. Cheaper to replace and less rolling resistance when pulling it.

I’m going to build it for 315s and decide later.

If I keep it, I’m going to want it to have 315s to match the truck.

Plus, I already have two to measure from.

Dang, that makes me want to do a shackle flip.

I've heard 4.88s are better with the auto trans.

Did you need to cut the rear flares for 35s?

My flares are in the crawl space under my house. Still uncut. Not planning to put them back on.

I just cut all the fenders 2” and called it a day.
