Not sure who is doing their rating system. Potts is named "the most difficult trail in VA" as well as in the top 5 in the eastern side of the us by many off road magazines. Takes roughly 10hrs to run. We ran it the "easy" way last time and I think I hit 10mph once. It is one obstacle after another with no bypasses, only more extreme obstacles.

Very fun trail, but expect some "scars" in multiple places on your ride.

Small world man. I think I’ve asked you about your rear bumper, I drew the short stick and was on gate duty for 7 months. But I am in 600 division with all the nerds!

There are some. I haven't hit them yet but from what I understand basically fire roads. The Bald mtn trail looks fun from what I've seen and heard and from what I understand Pott's is a MF'r. I have a trail about 35 minutes from the house I've hit a couple of times it's fun and there's camping there but I believe you have to have a hunting or fishing license to go. I've been fighting some health issues for the last 2 years and the stupid Doc says no to any off roading and bouncing around hopefully soon

I remember that actually. Not too many of the guys on gate duty say much of anything. I’m glad you found the forum.

Me too or else I wouldn’t have found such an awesome truck! I had an FJ that I was going to build up, but Corolla had other ideas for me!

May be worth checking some out, I know the wife won’t like the “harder” trails. That’s a bummer about your doc, I think Amstel Adams may disagree!

Flagpole is fun and full of water holes and super easy. Bald mountain is also fun with deeper water holes and a fun medium jeep side course but expect a lot of pinstripes.

You did get an awsome truck and from a good guy. I don't think my wife would enjoy any hard trails either. We got the camper because it's built well enough to traverse fire roads and stuff. We figured use it as a base camp and adventure from there

@4x4runner2002 and I ran bald mountain a couple of weeks ago. Nice views more than anything. Definitely a lot of pin stripes

I’ve also heard otherwise on Potts Mountain. Heard it’s pretty rocky with some good stuff.

Also, I don’t consider Uwharrie to be short. There are some shorter trails but there’s enough there to keep you entertained for a Friday-Sunday

My paint is fucked from Bald Mountain. Drinks were also flowing and I wasn’t really paying too much attention to where I was going
