Yeah very very true. But you'd be surprised what people with LT and a budget will do lol. Gonna swap mine this week, that creak is getting bad lol. Turning the wheel at a stand still is horrendous.

 

I keep a spare pair of uni-balls in the parts box, so I don't have to live with the noise.

 

Are you going to color match the fenders?

 

Some day. Probably going to be outright buying new ones and having them professionally fitted and painted. Current ones weren't mounted super well and they are showing some spider cracking. Truck is at a stand still currently while I pay off some debt and raise some kids. Still have a boat load of shit sitting in the garage I need to get around to installing. Free time is pretty slim at the moment with a 2 1/2 year old and a 6 month old and shiftwork.

yeah stuff just didn't line up well, alot of gaps I notice, even after re-tightening and trying to move around. Oh well, you live and you learn. Probably sometime next year I'll be doing a complete revamp to the truck, new glass all around, rebuild all the shocks at once, install a bunch of stuff performance and suspension wise.

Welp, haven't really had any trail runs lately, working alot and taking care of the kiddos, but this happened the other day when pulling out of the parking lot at the grocery store. So that was fun. Lots of funny looks when i pulled out my toolbag and jack from the backseat and started fixing it on the spot lol. Had to wait about an hour for a buddy to bring me a replacement bolt. Waiting on a new set of CV boots before I start replacing everything. Have a box of stuff from Camburg...called them up and ordered all new bolts and stuff for the front end, might as well replace it all and have peace of mind.

Lower Control Arm Uniball adapter to spindle bolt sheared off when reversing. Looking at it now, in reverse turning that way puts alot of the weight of the truck on the bolt and causes some side stress, so no big surprise. 2 good years of romping in the truck and the bolt gave its best. Live and learn.

Yeah I took a little break from TW a while back. Just to much drama for me, been focusing on work and kids and paying off some debt. Decided I wanted to be debt free before I started dumping more money back into the truck. Probably another year or so before I start doing some more upgrades. Next big thing will probably be 35s, I'd say I've got another 10k left in my tires before then. So well see.

Yeah. Not bashing him by any means on the install. That was like 2 years ago.

 

Currently balls deep in replacing UCA's and bolts and Uniballs on the truck. Taking a break to let a can of Kroil put in some work for a bit, found some Hollister pics from a while back, figured I'd upload some D-bag pose pics we took lol.

One side back on wheels after 2 months in the air! Yay! Taking another break and then ripping apart the other side. Have to see if I can get a boot on the CV inner side without having to rip the whole spindle off and everything.

 

Then I have to check all fluids (yay front diff leak suddenly) and then replace the battery, then I can listen to that sweet sweet blower again after so long

 

I've successfully changed inner and outer CV boots without taking the hub appart. You so have to disconnect the uniball adapter on the LCA to get room to pull the inner CV appart
