Are you talking about the ICON AAL? I'm considering the same if so.

I'm looking at this setup to change mine up, I'm currently running ome 885's....what kind of setting up front do I need to be at 3"(steel skid and sliders) and I also have Dakars out back that are a hair over 3" from what I'm seeing these 5160's don't look like they'll work?

Can someone measure the clearance of their diff with this setup please. If it's at 11" then that's perfect.

    Thanks

Rear diff? Clearance from the ground or between the diff and above?

Umm, that is solely a function of what size tires you have. Unless I'm missing something.

What is happening here, yes the 6112's are gonna give you more clearance at the diff....problem is unless someone is at the same notch and runs the exact tire size you have your gonna get different measurments.

For the rear, which you asked about, any kit on any live axle truck will not increase ground clearance of the diff, because the diff is fixed WRT the wheels. Think about it. For front diff on a independent front suspension truck or center diff, yes of course. Truck with live front axle same problems, diff is fixed WRT wheels. But no this is not a "body lift", which usually refers to lifting up the body off the frame with bushings or whatever.

This applies to the FRONT diff and only because front is independent, not tied to the wheels like a live axle, and the lift happens by increasing the angle of the LCA's with respect to the ground, raising the front diff higher. The wheels are not fixed WRT diff, trhey hang in the air for example off jumps and the diff doesn't. The rear is not independent and a lift (which would need AAL's or similar) just raises the body higher over the axle. Rear diff is fixed WRT wheels, and the diff and wheels move together. Center diff goes higher for obviously reasons, it is bolted directly to the frame (like the front diff) and raising both ends raises it too.

IRS SUV's obviously (4runner? not sure) are different. Raise the rear on a IRS SUV and you get more rear diff clearance.

The only way it makes sense (to me) is if you're talking about the front diff, because of IFS. That measurement is also tire size dependent. Rear differential clearance is tire size dependent, lift does not make a difference over here

Thought he was referring to front, either way tire sizes will give different measurements.

Has anyone put a 650 or 700 lb coil in the 6112 ? To account for a winch and slimline style bumper. I know ome won’t work for it and Marie at headstrong said they haven’t tried heavier springs.

I'll find out 1/25 when I install them. No winch though just the sso slimline bumper
