Mmmm maybe. I think that particular beer, and a few others I've had on nitro are better off not on nitro.

We had a great turn out last night at the bottle share. Had 2 new guys show up with a great selection.

First time having Heady Topper. I now understand all the hype surrounding this beer. Very good.

Next is the Rhubarb Wild from Engine House #9. This may be one of the best wild ales I've ever had.

This is another wild ale but could not come close to the Rhubarb. This is Biere Du Pays from Side Project Brewing. They brew some crazy stuff over there.

Our Boston guy found a new brewery called Vanished Valley around Springfield, MA. He was able to bring back a couple different ones and this was by fat the best. It is a SMOOTH milk stout. For a 5% stout this knocked it out of the park. Will be looking for more of this one for sure.

Here we have some Funky Buddha. It is a blueberry cobbler ale. There were a lot of blueberries crammed in this bottle. Little to sweet imo.

Next we have this BIG beer. This 13% Imperial Milk Stout poured out like used 30k mile oil. Lots of bourbon in this one. I usually do not like the barrel aged beers because sometimes it too much but this one had just enough.

This is the 2nd Vanished Valley beer of the night. It was an ok IPA. Had lots of citrus and tangerine notes and lot of dry hopping went on in this one.

This was a very interesting golden sour. This might be the first golden sour I've had. If you keep up with my untapped you can see I do not try a lot of sours. Very good and I would drink this again in a heartbeat.

I've been wanting to try this beer for a long time. I've head a lot of great reviews on this one. Unfortunately I was very disappointed in this one and I was not alone. We think it was because it was canned in OCT sometime. Will have to try a fresher batch to give it another chance.

Here is another Alchemist brew. It was a Belgian style winter warmer. It was ok and nothing to write home about.

This was a collaboration between The Bruery in CA and Funky Buddha in FL. This was a good fruit beer. They tried to mimic a Cuban Guava Pastry. I've never had a pastry from Cuba but if it taste anything like this beer I'd eat a dozen of them. Lots of guava, vanilla, and a little lactose.

Rare Barrel  I've got 3 bottles from them sitting somewhere in my closet boxes. I should open one soon.

Have also had the Guava Libre on tap at the Bruery. It's pretty good but too sweet to drink more than a 6oz pour. Good dessert beer for sure.

I brewed this one last month. It was supposed to be a Chimay Red clone fermented with bottle-harvested Chimay yeast, but my homemade candi syrup was evidently too light and it ended up more like a blond, than a dubbel. Fortunately, it's extremely tasty. Reminds me of a Grimbergen Blond.

Okay, here's an appeal to you New Englander/East Coasters....

I'm planning on brewing my first NEIPA in a couple months. Looking into yeast choices, it seems that Wyeast 1318 is a popular choice for the style and it's what I'll use if it comes down to it, but I've really been into bottle-harvesting authentic yeasts lately. In that vain, I'd love to get my hands on 2-4 cans of Heady Topper to harvest some Conan yeast, but you won't find it in my neck of the woods. Is there anybody out there in Heady country that might be able to hook a brother up? I'd cover all costs for the beer and shipping, as well as throw in a little extra for your trouble. I'll also send you a few bombers of the finished product once it's done. Besides, I've never had Heady Topper and would like to see what the fuss is all about, while getting some free yeast in the process.

Tell ya what. I'll make a deal with you both @nDub and @Beer:30 you guys split the cost of my flight and hotel, and I'll go buy a case of heady and send you both a handful of cans.

No joke, I've actually considered doing something like that myself. Of course, there's always the possibility I'd come back empty handed and then I'd be pissed.

I'd love to do a beer trip to the east coast area. My regular trade partner who used to live in NY was supposed to go to Vermont for a trip before he moved to Florida but never got the chance sadly.
