3.8 in the Cardinal yesterday down to Austin and back to Dallas for dinner.

2.7 today down to the deer lease and back to shoot my new pistol.

The Cardinal is running strong! Now it’s time for an oil and filter change

I got up for one hour last night. That was all I could stand of flying in the pattern so we just landed and went home.

Nope, most of the time we were the only aircraft flying. There’s not a lot of training value just flying square patterns. Each of us did one of every type of approach and takeoff, logged an hour of night system to stay current and called it good. Our flight was supposed to be a team flight to practice a bunch real world stuff but gun 2 had a faulty transmission oil pressure switch and cancelled on run up.

Interesting, square patterns do suck but there is value in them. That all depends on what ratings you hold, but i feel a refreser is always a good thing.

I have my first pilot interview with a company in Alaska for a SIC position on Wednesday. Do you guys have any tips or ways to prepare for the interview?

It was like a 3 second video on the History(?) channel that I froze and took a pic of with my phone but ya I’d like to see more of that, myself. Edit: There was no info during the show but Tom flew Camel number 91 and I believe (or want to believe) that’s a number 1 after the nine

So I have one more trip with my current employer before I am off to training with SWA. I flew a total of 647.2 hours in 2017, which is actually a little less than the previous two years. The last 6 months have been enjoyable for me. Having more experience in the jets we fly than the newer guys, I ended up flying a lot of single pilot/solo trips. I will really miss the freedom of being able to operate a multi-million jet all by myself. It's probably just a very small taste of what the military guys like @NumNutz get to do.

    Recent trips....

Awesome! I can't wait to hear how your SWA training goes. I just had a phone interview for a flight ops internship yesterday, so I'm hoping for the best!
