Your right for the most part,

The steering wheel trim pieces are held in by 2 screws but you have to remove the airbag first

the hardest piece was the HVAC trim because not only do you have to disassemble the radio to get the unit out but then you have to disassemble the hvac panel to release the trim from the assembly.

the door control modules just pop out

the center console trim is held in by screws fromt he other side so you have to pop out the upper assembly and flip it over. Not too hard

YouTube Soundman CA; anything fabrication related, Doug does it all, and he’s pretty entertaining to watch when considering how ‘professional’ and fake we all are expected to be to each other in real life to avoid hurt feelings and lawsuits.

He has been recently painting his F150’s interior plastic pieces. If you want to see right way of painting with rattle-can, follow his process.

No, it doesn't have the same glossy finish and it's not a direct color code match to the exterior. If your gonna do it, do it right

    Not enough to list
Did my steering wheel, center console trim, and dash parts in flat black. I noticed that Rustoleum paint sucks.. It seems like the stuff chemically reacts to itself. I would spray primer, wait the allotted time, spray black and it would bubble, wrinkle, and pit. Purchased a can of Krylon primer and paint in a can and it lay butter smooth and would dry super super quick. My .02 would be to stay away from rustoleum

Have a professional do it. That's what I did. You can use rattle cans but at the end of the day it won't be color matched to the exterior and it's not as good quality as commercial grade product

Kind of a pain in the ass to paint everything but well worth it! Absolutely love getting in my truck even more now.
