    I am in the process of installing my KB voodoo remote start. I have installed all the major wires and programmed it already. It responds as it should and my truck starts up with three clicks of the lock button.

    The issue I am having is the wiring for the Auto Lights Pin 8. The instructions I have state;
    Vehicle Color = Cut White Wire in vehicle - Connect to Orange/Yellow from dball to vehicle side - Connect Yellow from dball to connector side of vehicle.

    Does this mean to cut the white wire completely and connect the orange/yellow and yellow wire to it? Or does it mean to just splice the orange/yellow and yellow wire to the white wire?

    Cut the wire; basically you are making that wire run through the dball. So one end of the cut white wire connects to the yellow dball wire; the other side of the cut white wire connects to the orange/yellow dball wire.

    So cut it length wise? Basically run half the wire white and yellow and the other half white and orange/yellow? So the white wire is split to both wires?

    Why can I not use splice both of the two additional wires into the white wire?

    I’m a little confused and not sure how to best put this in words... You don’t want to splice into the wire; you want to cut it. The end of the white wire near the connector then connects to the yellow wire; the other end of the white wire you connect to orange/yellow. Basically you are rerouting the white wire through the dball.

    That makes sense. I understand completely now. Thank you for the help. I feel like a dumbo for not understanding it the first time.

    No worries, it’s good to second guess and make sure you’re doing it right! I had to stop myself a few times to think it through too... not something you want to screw up.
