edit....supposedly an announcement at Noon China time which is 8pm PST. Could end up like XVG with some weird shifting as we get closer.

We will see. I kind of see the same thing as with XVG. Spike expecting the news then a drop as it gets closer and closer to the announcement. In this case though it wasnt a specific time for the announcement so we will see what happens

Well, I'll be traveling to Beijing in 2 weeks for work. I'm going to ask some of the engineers there at my company about some of the China-based coin companies and validity (ie. TRX and such). I hope I can find out some details while there.

    Have you all beat.

Fall semester 2010 I took a class based on a digitial culture and society. As part of the class I finished with some BTC in a wallet on my thumb drive. 675 of them to be exact.

On December 22nd I was glossing the paper at the family xmas party when I saw a mention of Bitcoin on an article. So I was like, wtf is the hype here? Googled it, and was like wow, wish I had some of that.

Lying in bed that night I literally said. "HOLY FUCK". I remembered I had some, and I remembered the little black and red scandisk thimb drive they were on.

Tore through the house with full intention on cashing out immediately... I would be fine with ~$11mil.

12am till 2, I looked and finally found it. I was literally shaking as I powered up the laptop. Opened the drive's root directory aaaannnd..... there's my thesis.

This time I yelled FUUUUCCCKKKKK, even woke my kids.

Because at that moment it clicked. In spring 2011 I was like, "This shit is dumb, and formatted the drive for a GIS class (big files). Then for the summer I worked my thesis, I reformatted again and saved.

I did send off the drive to a trusted friend (my best man) in the forensic data recovery field, all is lost.

So yeah. Don't feel too bad about your plight!

It would be funny/interesting to see how much bitcoin is lost from the early days. So many people seemed to mine it early when you could get it with gpu mining and then lost/never did anything with it simply cause it wasnt worth anything at the time lol

Well, bought XLM, ADA, and POE high. Been holding it since it tanked. Debating on whether it's still worth continuing to hold till it comes back up or should I just cut bait and keep it moving...
