Hello all! I am currently in South Portland, ME but travel to Essex/Burlington just about every weekend. Will be making the final move within the next 6 weeks or so and wanted to introduce myself. I love the outdoors and off-roading/atv/dirtbike/camping however I'm not sure where I can do that in the Northern VT area. Do any of you have any leads? Since Maine is so big I'm used to traveling a couple hours to find a good spot for camping, however for ATVing I would love to find a place within 30 mins. Everyone I've asked says that you have to buy a trail map which I have no problem doing. Thanks for any info!

Welcome! I recommend hiking and camping the AT for at least a couple of days. The Green Mountain National Forest is a gem worth exploring.

As far as your other interests, I’m sure there are a multitude of spots througout the state as there in ME. I just don’t know any off the top of my head.

I’ve been meaning to do some research on trails for spring/summer meetups. Just been enjoying this excellent ski season we’re having so far.

Thanks for the info! Definitely want to camp/hike. I skied early last week at smuggs and it was great, just cold.

Right in the new north end of Burlington almost to the Colchester line. My girlfriend and I just renovated her duplex.

My first gen was a 02 reg cab 4x4 manual as well just not SR5

From what I've heard, the official atv trails are not as good as what they have just over the border in NH and Maine (politics), but there are still some. It is better to network and find others that are land owners who will give permission to ride on their land. For dirtbikes, there are no official trails, however if you have a dual sport there are options like class IV roads. Speaking of class 4 roads, they seem to be the prime 4x4 wheeling routes as well.

I grew up in VT but I am recently back, so what I'm saying is mostly from research I've done. But I'm looking for people to ride and wheel with!

    Hello all

I have some property in Somerset near Wilmington. Southern end of the Green Mountain forest.

Looking for some places and people to go wheeling with.

Anyone in the area or know of any good places hit me up.

    :)

What off road? I wish I did. I don’t really have everything I would like on my truck to go.. I have a lift, KO2s and UCAs.. no armor or recovery gear beside a tow strap.. I was planning on getting some armor but my money ended up going else where..

Can't really tell all that well but it sort of looks like my friend Jarrod from Stowe. The only thing really throwing me off is the rims.
