Are you guys getting them powder coated? Or are you going to rattle can to get the color you want?

 

Anything below my truck that will eventually need touch ups is getting rattle canned

 

He said a couple weeks, a week ago. Get on board before it' to late.

 

Yeah, I most likely won't be banging on rocks so I was tempted to get in professionally PC'd around here. But when I eventually do knock it on something, I'd like to be able to touch it up. I think paint is the best option, or rattle can bed liner.

 

Is there a cost difference between unpainted or powder coated?

 

I think the difference is $20 but don't quote me. I know it was mentioned in here before, might need to read through the thread.

Yes, I believe it's $20.

 

For $20, powder coat is the way to go.

 

Agreed it's a good price, but once you use your skid plate as a skid plate and it chips that PC, then you need to think about how to touch it back up.

 

Comparably colored spray paint works until it's bad enough to have it blasted and recoated.

 

but with spray paint you can just touch up a particular spot. PC you would want the whole thing blasted and re-coated. I thinks it's easier to "touch up" rattle can than PC. Especially when the PC is textured.

 

Black with grey looks pretty damn good imo. Didn’t want to have too much red on mine
