I got my '18 Cement DCSB OR a few weeks ago. I would have bought almost any color to avoid the long bed (to get the locking rear diff). I also thought it was funny my dealer tried to sell me the same truck with "$6k" in aftermarket accessories..... It was lifted with wheels/tires, NFAB "sliders" that looked identical to your steps, and tinted windows. Lift looked to be nothing more than 2" pucks. LOL

I bought my new F150 Platinum 5.0L when gas prices were around $4/gal and it had a 36gal tank. My fuel costs were as much as my truck payment.

And here's a photo of my truck. Waiting on decent weather to install some things. :)

Tested some capabilities on a trip to the mountains on New Years Day. Had a lot of fun, my 2 y/o in the back seat was really enjoying some of the obstacles we hit. fullsizeoutput_f1d.jpg

LOL. Even though I may upgrade later on, the locking diff was important for me.

Convert$ 1.50/liter to US gallon and its $5.67/gallon, people will care.
$4 a gallon as someone posted as being high, in 2005-2007 is considered cheap up here in Canada. Right now I pay$1.14/litre so $4.30/gallon and that's still not considered bad up here. Trust me, put gas close to $6/gallon and truck sales will suffer if it stays high for a year or two. People who need a truck will obviously buy a truck, but a lot of people who don't really need a truck will buy something else more fuel efficient

Gas could be 7.00 a gallon here and it wouldn’t matter. This is Truck Country. We would give up something else. That’s fact! Our gas prices jumped from 1.60 a gallon to 4.00 a gallon and stayed there for about 3 years and it didn’t put a dent in truck sales.

I'm talking large scale. You'll always have exceptions, but push $6/gallon and national sales would definitely take a plunge.

Jeep wrangler is even coming out with a hybrid, change with the times or be left behind. I work with people that travel 100k a year, and the ones with the 3.5 Tacoma's save money compared to the old 4.0L. Every bit helps

Are you saying the the LB don't have a locking diff? Mine does.

But I did get a bunch of stuff I didn't want (overpriced black out kit, steps, tint, mud guards, premium carpets, etc). When I was looking there were only 4 cements available in the Texas, so my options were limited. Even the one I specifically ordered was going to have all of that, or some combination. At least most of what I got I would have done anyway, or I can have takeoffs to sell. Lift kit and wheels would have been a no-deal for me too, they had a tundra in the showroom all jacked up with big dumb wheels for an additional $15K or something stupid like that.

Sorry, but if you have a long bed, you do NOT have a locking diff.

I found an actual picture of the orange interior. I imagine there will be many threads on "how to paint interior trim ring" in the future.

Unless your "LB" is an Access Cab, Stefan_Ray is correct; you do not have a locking rear diff.. Not factory installed OEM anyways.
