    Good find!

I've been watching Craigslist for the exact same thing myself, short bed (preferably in Quicksand). I use SearchTempest to search a 400mile radius, its slim pickings for a 3rd Gen.

I'll need to start monitoring dealer sites as well. Got any search engine recommendations to locate toppers at dealers?

I just use the craiglist app on iPhone and check it a lot, just searching tacoma in the all for sale section and auto-parts sections.

Security. My softtopper got broken into 3 times and the third time someone took a knife to it.

    Makes sense, bummer though.

Security is on top of my ‘Softopper cons’ list comparing the Softopper vs a hardshell.

It’s a great product and I had it for over a year. It was also a good entry into the topper game without having to drop $$$ the first time around.

I’ve had both previously on other trucks, so I’m familiar with the pros/cons of each.

Just going back and forth on how I wanna proceed this time around.

It’s always nice to hear feedback from others that have had both as well.

I was about to go the softopper route, then found the hard shell used for close to the same price, so I couldn't pass it up.

Soft or hard, taco shells are great!

    Agreed.

My old rig with both...still sometimes wish I hadn’t sold it.

[IMG] more "water issues" noticed today. the bed isn't wet at all, its just the headliner growing mold. My dealer has been great at fixing issues! Hopefully this one can be fixed quickly

If you can find the leak, I would put a bucket with DampRid back there for a few days to dry it out. If you can't find where the water is coming from it will just come back.

Lysol will kill the mold & mildew. I would spray it on, then brush it in. Let it dry, then vacuum the headliner.

    Good Call with the DampRid.

Only place that is damp/wet is right under the Front window that is removable. I'm sure thats where the leak is. Cap Dealer said he needs to order a special cleaner That won't "harm the headliner"

I’m looking to get a Leer 100XR, does anyone have any dealer recommendations in the Houston area?

I had the same question for the Nashville area a few months ago, didn't get much help. Good luck! I really like my XR.
