What did you click to generate that message? It looks like you double-clicked on the .bin file, in which case Windows wouldn't know what to do the file.

I can't see the status of the button with the three dots in your screen shot. Is it enabled, and you can click on it, or is it disabled?

Just for shits and giggles, try creating a new folder on your C: drive called OVTune, put pcmflash and the tune files in that folder, and then
    run pcmflash again.

I think that's exactly @speedtre's point. The two engines are completely different and he believes the transmission is poorly mated to this particular gas engine. That you call him out on it supports his position that the transmission doesn't work well with the 3.5 gasser.

I too am a little underwhelmed by this 3.5; missing my 4.0 FJ a little and wondering if the Duramax ZR2 would have been a better choice. But I bet on Toyota for the long haul so I'm in it with both feet now.

In reality, Toyota should have put the 4.30 final drive gear in both the manual and automatic differentials. I bet we’d all enjoy the trucks a little bit more if they had done that.

Amen to this! They really should do a recall and give us A/T owners the 4.30 gears. They would loose so much money and will never do it, but man it would make a lot of people happier with their mistake of engine tranny pairing.

99% of people who own the truck are perfectly happy with it, we're just picky bastards.

Ideally it needs a twin scroll turbo to give it the low down torque (what Ford are doing with their ecoboost) but emissions, cost, and (possibly) MPG wouldn't work.

The gearbox is awful in this, you know this when you ride in someone else's car and it's smooth and always seems to have the grunt to get up to speed without having to rev the nuts off of it (honestly, even a 2L ecobox always seems to have the grunt to get to 50mph without having to press the accelerator more because it's changed up a gear)

Is this truly a "new" ECU or just one of the first A/T ECU calibrations from the initial '16s to roll off the line. And if so, is this something those users can go complain about the busy shifting behavior to get the TSB applied to get to *03 as others have done or is the 04B00 the black sheep of the A/Ts akin to the old M/T that requires additional layers of support?

I would guess, and hope, anything changed or updated on the dyno is currently in long term testing since this is a final release. Give the man some time to figure out if changes are going to stick, or need further tweaking....for everyone's sake.
