It’s like driving around Baja for 14 days and then going into a Starbucks in San Diego. I almost had a stroke.

If you or someone else decide to use those on a truck in the future, you might want to consider reducing preload. Spring bind results in broken tophats. Icon is particularly susceptible to that due to the split design. This from the installation instructions:

What do you think about the beam pattern Ian? My depot lights have some funky reflections going on.

    Looks great BTW.

    Edit:

    Here’s the pattern. Interesting cutoffs.

    Low:

    High:78C5479C-3CB5-4B37-A500-8C1D100CD520.jpg

High with @Iggy 9” round lights:

The pattern isn’t that bad on the road though.

Not sure yet. I think the driver side is a wee bit high but no one's beamed me yet (some overhead signs light). I'd read that and was curios so looked at the individual lights-nothing seems out of the ordinary so far.

the passenger side wasn't adjusted so it should be at the OEM spec. after my lift was installed i got an alignment and should have told them to lay off the driver's side. they cranked enough to level (read: control for taco lean) and i got what's in the pic. i'll measure when i get the coilover out but i don't think it's too much more than Icon's max recommendation.

i would prefer to have the lean and better shock performance so i'll raise the driver's side up after shocks get serviced.

I really like those @Iggy 9” lights. Just don’t think there’s enough of a ledge on my bumper to mount them. I may have to come visit you in the next few weeks to take some measurements.

    Monkey grip?

For a $14 7 ga container, I don't expect the world. If I used them heavily in severe conditions, I'd likely go with Sceptres.

They’re also pretty good for the OBW mod. Quick release valved fittings. Easy to fill and dump in the garden after the trip. And you can pull them out to set on a picnic table when domestic camping away from the vehicle.

I used the taller 7 gallon containers before, but they were too tall to sit under the bench in my old setup.
