    Damn, I miss HEB. I can’t believe DFW doesn’t have one. Well, not until 2019. One is being built in Hudson Oaks. Getting closer. I’ll be fed up and move out of dallas by the time they build one near me.

    HEB bought some land here in Murphy at the Murphy/Wylie border couple years ago. Right now they are working with the city for building an HEB with some storefronts but no ETA on when it’s ever going to be built.

    HEB has a lot of land parcels in DFW, including one a couple of minutes away from my house. There's no guarantee they will ever put HEB stores on them though. Last they said on the matter was that they want to focus on Central Market stores in DFW.

    Yea and that’s what the HEB rep stated at the city council meeting. The Albertsons was closed down here in Murphy after Tom Thumb took them over so there is a lot of talk trying to convince HEB to buy the building or Whole Foods. From what I’ve seen both have considered it.

    HEB is fighting back hard against Whole Foods, and have made their own location called HEB Central Market. I swear if I didn't already know it was an HEB property I'd think it WAS a Whole Foods. And like HEB, it's 10% - 15% cheaper than Whole Foods. In many cases, I think it's better. Certainly better parking, but our Whole Foods shares a parking lot with Costco so ain't no spots to be had anywhere anyway.

    I live right at the Murphy/Plano (but in Plano) line and would love to see a HEB come up in Murphy or Wylie. I do my grocery shopping at the Kroger less than a mile from my house, but I'd drive right past it for an HEB.

    I'd be happy to have a grocery that wasn't HEB. Except for a couple Trader Joe's, the only alternative in San Antonio is Walmart and Costco.
