Because We're Not North Enough To Be NOVA, We're Just Stuck Between the North and the True South

I’m spending the morning at the stealership for the frame recall. They told me it won’t be replaced but will be covered with some type of black tar type goop and they have to put it on one day and let it sit until the next day to dry. Anyone else have this done???

 

It's their gay ass version of fluid film.

 

They did this to my tundra a few years ago. It won't be dry when you get your truck back. It will be tacky enough that if you touch it you'll be blackened until it wears off your skin. I know this for a fact. They did give me a Yaris to drive around for the few days they had the truck. That was fun......

 

I'm going to inspect myself after the winter then take it in.

 

Okay, next problem. I also broke my cup holder insert this morning. I have one in my cart for $25, anyone found one cheaper?

 

That makes sense because if you are running 100W, it is probably running just off the battery. 400W would need the alternator running.

 

Had my coRoll(a)s Royce in for a recall, two tacos werehaving new frames installed.

 

I meant the switch doesn’t come on at all if it’s not running.

Not yet. I'm being a wuss while it's cold so I haven't spent any time out there playing around looking at things to see if I can figure it out. I posted because I wasn't sure if this was common or I was not doing something right.

 

Happy New Year Chief! I gave Bill a thumb drive with our trip photos for the last year, I'm guessing that's what you saw. Beth and I actually managed 51 different floats in 2017. Great year to be on the water!

 

As a member located on the Eastern Shore, I don't really have a VA group to join and participate with. NOVA is 4 hours away, Nawfawk is 3 hours away, so I'll stop in and say Hi in here as well!

Doesn't the truck have to be in park or something with the engine running to get the full 400w, otherwise it only does 100w? I don't remember. I only used mine a couple times, but vaguely remember if certain conditions weren't met, it wouldn't pump out the 400w. Mine was a manual, so it would have been a different scenario.

 

My family used to vacation in Chincoteague when I was a kid. My dad had an Army buddy who owned a house on Little Oyster Bay and we'd stay there.

 

That's right. Or can do the mod which gives you 400w anytime. When you place your truck in park, it send ground to the 400w circuit (or something like that). You can just permanently ground that and BOOM 400w while your driving around.

Nice! Yeah I grew up on the island and have ridden my bike all over the place. It's a quaint little coastal town that not alot of folks know about.

 

Then if you know where Hancock Lane is, the house we stayed in was at the far end just before the water (the house may not be there any more). We'd go out on the water and catch our own crabs for eating.

 

Little Oyster Bay and Oyster Bay II were private communities. We rarely would go ride around there because the old folks would always give us death stares. Those are nice areas, and having the water that close is nice. I'm across the Chincoteague bay from the island and I'm saving up for a small skiff so I can start picking up my own oysters,clams, and crabs. Plus, it's quicker to get there by boat from where I live, than driving the roads the island.

 

At the time (the 1960s) I don't know if they were private or not. You've no doubt heard of Miles Hancock, the legendary decoy duck carver? Our house was right next to his. Somewhere in my family we have one of his ducks.

 

I also have a friend from grade school who works at Wallops Island.
