Coinbase is making me wait until the 11th for my first deposit, I withdrew it from my bank last friday. Good thing is they are honoring the LTC purchase price when I made the buy so it has been gains to this point.

Yes, this is always the case with depositing funds from a bank account (time may differ) . The price at time of purchase is locked in. Credit Card purchases are available for trading instantly but there is a higher fee associated with it.

Use GDAX instead of Coinbase. Then Once you’ve wired in or transferred to your GDAX, make an account on Bittrex or Binance (those are my two trading platforms of choice. Here’s my referral link for Binance: www.binance.com/?ref=16850073

There is a wealth of knowledge for New and experienced crypto investors on reddit, there is signals groups to join and chat on Telegram and slack groups. DM me for those links if you want to. Also, a few seasoned investors and knowledgeable crypto ppl I follow on YouTube and podcasts to listen to. At the end of the day it’s up to you to due your DD before putting your money into a coin

Eyyyy now, I'm only 29 haha.. Its just a matter of USMC vs Army.

But I'm not that cool anymore... Got out, used the GI Bill for a degree in Finance (USE YOUR FCKIN GI BILL BTW), and now have to work like the rest of these chumps...

Here's hoping crypto will change that!

And I’m sure it’s been discussed many a time in this thread (I just stumbled across this thread this morning) don’t be cheap and invest in a hardware wallet. I prefer the ledger nano s, but I have a trezor as well. I wouldn’t store any long term holds on an exchange, but that’s just my 2 cents

Good info, thanks. I've just been keeping it on the exchange for now because I was buying and selling my coins so much but I don't see that in my future so I think I'll grab one of those

I second that. I sat on my ass for the first 12 years of my career, in the last five I knocked out the associates, bachelors, and I'm currently ignoring the first day of homework for the new semester of grad school

I do feel like this part of life passed me by big time. Dad's side of the family were all in the Israeli Army, future brother in-law is Army, grew up in Pensacola so I was surrounded by military. I'm 28 now, masters degree, decent paying job, getting married. Feel like life is too settled for me to upheave it all and jump into it, but damned if I don't look at some of that stuff with envy and think "F* man, that's cool".

Insurance & Real Estate.. I been wondering how long until some insurance companies start accepting some crypto as a payment method?

The Post 9-11 GI Bill was probably the best gig I ever got out of the Marine Corps. Not only did it pay for all schooling costs (tuition, books, fees, etc.), but it also paid me BAH (Basic Allowance Housing) the entire time as well, which in SoCal was about $2,500/mo at the time... I was PAID $2,500 per month to go to school! That's better than most full-ride scholarships.

I also earned an academic scholarship for the last 2 yrs of school (I'm not that smart, college is just easy once you're an adult and can do what you're told). Since the GI Bill/govt is "first payer" for tuitions, the scholarship tuition money would be refunded directly into my bank acct since it was already paid for. This was all on top of the easy part-time job I had at the time.

TL;DR- I was living the dream after I got out, and got a degree for it. Don't be dumb.

Same, I still have 2 years left to use. May go for my masters and pocket that BAH and books stipend

And then once you get that service connected rating you can transition to VOC REHAB and as long as you have at least one day left of the post 9/11, you’re still entitled to BAH for the duration of that. I’m going to use my voc rehab to hopefully start a private pilot program this year

GDAX if you only plan on using the GDAX/Coinbase platform for purchases and not getting into trading. It should be the same log in as your Coinbase, then look at the feed they charge. You’re paying extra for the convenience of the easy user interface of Coinbase.

Exactly. Voc Rehab = GI Bill 2.0

Took me 5yrs to get my degree(s)- 3.5yrs on GI Bill, 1.5yrs on VocRehab. In many ways, VocRehab is actually better than the GI BIll
