my FIL inherited a 94 corvette with about 9k miles on it (actually per mile prolly has more money in it keeping it alive than any other vehicle ever, several ecu's because apparently when the battery dies it's easy to fry one, and a load of other electrical issues) and he wanted to give it to my daughter (who will be 4 in a few months) I said it wont stay at my house, and if she wants it, she can get it when she moves out.

 

speaking of, does anyone wanna buy a red 94 corvette with every upgrade factory option available minus the z28 motor, with less than 10k miles on the clock?

 

I'll play. Spent more money fixing the terrible Rough Country lift on the truck than I paid for the actual lift. Cognito UCAs and 5100s all around made it ride pretty darn good.

What brand did you get? MOOG? They generally make really good parts.

Where did you get them? There is a possibility the product was mis-marked, put in the wrong box, or you were sold the wrong part.

Go back to the store, and double check your parts. If they are idiots there, go to another same brand store, see what they say.

You can also double check the part/number on RockAuto as well as the manufacture's site.

according to the website they are the correct inners for my truck.

no worries man, they are advertised as "for this truck" so who knows

yes, moog. advance auto parts online. everything all says it is for my truck.

 

Go back to the store and ask to compare a new-in-box part with the one on your truck. Compare against other brands, too.

Do you still have your old part? Compare it to the new part. (Should have done that to start with.)

If all else fails, go to a better alignment shop.

 

there is the 79 Datsun that I learned to drive in (on accident when I was 3 and on purpose when I was 8 or 9) with a custom oak flat bed after the factory bed rusted out (and there is also a rarely seen LG flip phone in my right hand)

I'm going to assume that since I ordered 2, that they are the correct part that I ordered.

We did compare them to the old tie rods, and yes I still have the old ones. The threads were shorter, we noticed that when adjusting them and making them "match".

I have no idea how to guarantee another tie rod will have the right amount of threads that I need. I don't want to take these new moogs off until I know I have a replacement, it's my daily driver without my car being running.

I mean yeah they have, um, really nice, uh... rebates?? and I think at one time you got a year of onstar so there's that (I don't buy new vehicles though so neither apply to me)
