Or maybe you could sell the truck and join the 3rd gens. OV tune is coming out with his own twin turbo kit for the third gens with his tune to go along with it. Unfortunately, you would not need to use your new welding skills.

Since I am considering this TT kit I will be upgrading to forged pistons. Do you know anyone who can make forged titanium pistons? My weak Google skills have not been able to find anyone who can make forged titanium pistons. Thanks

 

I don't know of a single manufacturer whom makes titanium pistons. Pauter Rods makes titanium rods. They'd be a source to ask. Get ready to trim chop down the money tree, if you find a company even willing.

You jest, on the bolded sentences. Why would I pay someone else to build something, that I can now build? Even hypothetically, that makes no sense for.

I understand it is a hopeful plug for a twin kit though. Being that the 3rd gens are new, there is plenty of time to get some hype on it and even roll out a few. Having the tuning to be inclusive greatly increases market appeal.

For me, truck stays. I vow to that. Only the kit would be replaced for more apt of my improved skills and tooling. I can do my own tuning as well. Only thing I need is more pavement and time.

Technically yes, but they would sit really far forward.

 

meh, just put a 180* on it like you did your passenger side only so it wouldn't be upside down when you flip it and get your lateral lines taken care of.

 

And move the radiator to the bed

 

Your best bet, is Chromoly pistons. Titanium is a very hard material, and pistons require a lot of tooling to end up what we buy. The machining process for rods is much easier, and costs less in both time, and broken milling tools.

 

Steel pistons do look awesome. Probably need a steel block.

 

That would be very easy to accomplish.
