Yeah, thanks. I wish I was able, but there was no way for me to get off work...
Aaaand I'm no match for @Subway4X4, he's witty af. I think he has years of experience in ball busting... but then again who knows for sure, he might as well be 33 and is just natural at it...

Saw this fine Taco while coming in to work this morning. Construction crew is working on building out more office space at The Hershey Company. Looks like out of state plates. Anyone know who this is?

Nice. That's not what washington Crossing looked like New Year's Day. I drove up the Delaware river that day since I had nothing to do. Followed the river from Philly all the way up to washington's crossing (highways on certain parts until I got to 611), then kept following it all the way up to the water gap and into Port Jervis in NY. It was great to see the change in the river but I was too preoccupied taking it all in to take pics. The river was flowing in Philly with a few ice drifts. By the time I got up to New Hope it was more solid freeze but ice was still translucent. By the time I got to the water gap recreational area, it started to look like your pic. By Port Jervis, the river was locked up and there were upstate NY'ers running ATV's on some spots. I'm guessing upstate NY'ers= Jeans and Yankees jackets in winter, riding ATV's with baseball hats in 2 degrees. I ran further up to Hawk's nest on the river and found a small pub. I struck a conversation with them since the pub was on the road off the river. Some guy said he thought the ice was about 15 inches thick. The rest of the bar gave him crap and said the water isn't even 15 inches deep across that section this winter, but I could believe him. It was a nice drive.

I got hell from my wife when I got back for leaving her alone on new years day for 10 hours. Well worth it and I'd do it again

I miss Yeungling. I live in Philly now. I miss Yuengling. I could drink a case of that and feel fine. about 1 year after they opened up the plant in Tampa, my wife and I began to get the Yuengling shits after 2 bottles. There's no way to describe how we feel before it leaves our body and the odor of a yuengling turd. We aren't glutein intolerant: we grew up too poor to have food sensitivity. But damn, they did something to it. I still remember when it happened. We were in out of town and it was cold. Maybe upstate NY? back then you still asked what was on tap because they only ran like 3 taps. The guy looked at us and said "we have Genny, honey brown, and some chinese beer the owner's trying out". We saw it was Yuengling and was wondering what Yuengling was doing in that town. Then we remembered that the last time we were in tampa a few months before, we saw it down there and found out that they were opening or had just opened a brewery down there. No wikipedia on iphones those days.

Anyway, it was later that year, that we started to get the yuengling shits. Rolling rock now gives us the shits as well. I used to trust the '33' after Yueungling let me down, but not anymore. There must be something that happens to PA breweries once they leave PA, that gives us the shits.

Straubs does not give us beer shits yet. I'll keep driving up there every year to bring back cases in the bed as long as they stay in PA and doesn't give me the shits. Weird. I'm originally from NY.

I love my laphroaig, lagavulin, oban, and my oldschool PA beer.

Did I say how much I miss yuengling?

So this is what you do when you get older right? you talk about the old times to anyone that will listen? and if no one will listen you just post it on a forum?

    Good recap.

Also, you have perfect scotch taste. If I don’t have two of those three in my house it means I’m either on my way to the store to get them, or at the store getting them, or driving back home with them.

A few years ago, I had a bar trying to sell Yuengling as an import beer to me here in Pa. Meanwhile they had a poster up behind them that said "Yuengling Postville, Pa Oldest brewery in America".

Straub is my favorite. I've been to the eternal tap a couple times.

I was at a concert some punk kid came up to me asking to buy some beer we had Sam Adams. I told the kid no I wouldn't sell unless he showed his ID. He said I'm good I don't want that imported shit anyway :smack:. I told him that If he is asking around for beer he should learn whats an imported beer.
