    Hello TW,

I have a 2003 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner SR5 Xtra Cab with TRD and Tow package. Everything on it is stock, but I want to Build it up and make it look badass. I Just bought a new front fender because I was hit by a drunk driver parked in the street infront of my house. But I wanted to get some upgrades and needed some help.

My front struts are leaking, so I am going to get sum new ones and I did my research and read in the forums and I am going to get Bilstein 5100s for the front. Im not sure if I should get anything for the back or not. Any ideas?

I also wanted to get either a bull bar or a off road bumper, but I am not sure which one to get.

I am also looking at Air intakes, for better MPG and to upgrage my engine little by little since money is tight. What brand is good and affordable to get? I was looking and K&N intakes.

Hopefully you guys can help me with Tacoma Build.

intake definately do the deck plate mod. if you want a front lift do the bilstein 5100's, if you set them at 2.5 inches you don't have to do anything else unless you want to put an AAL in the rear. If you want to make it look badass get a grill craft grill in the front and throw some wheels and bigger tires on it. Make it sound badass? Flowmaster

The deckplate mods looks good just gotta find a place to buy a deckplate from haha. I already have a k&n filter in there just need the deckplate.

Anyone have any suggestions on whether i should get a bull bar or grill guard? And if so what Brands looks the Best?

Ok but are the offroad bumpers bolt on or do they need to be welded on?

are you going to be offroading?

if not....an ARB bumper would be pointless.

Rush, If you have a 3.4 V6, I have a K&N FIPK system on my truck. I would swap straight across for your stock system? I can get piks if needed? But trust me, its as new.

I also have a new Magnablow muffler, and nice tip if interested? again looking to trade for stock. Lemme know, Im in So Cal, near Magic Mountain.
    Gracias in advance, Guy

Get the grill guard over the bull bar. Bull bars look dumb on 1st gen's.

Awsome! I would def. get some 5100's for both front and rear. And set the front at 2.5" and then a 1.5" AAL in the rear. It will look good, and you can run a 285/75/16 with some trimming, and some wheels that have a 4" backspacing.

I am definitely going to get the Bilstein 5100s in the front but what will they do if I put them in the rear? And what exactly will the AAL do?

an AAL (add a leaf) is what will give you the lift. the 5100 rear shock is simply longer, to compensate for the amount of lift.
