At one point thought it would be a good fit for bacon. SV for hours and drain the grease and still end up cooking in the frying pan like normal. And realized all it was doing was driving me to drink...





Stainless steel IKEA scissor pot and pan racks are to hold multiple items of food and still allow water to circulate evenly. The Coleman cooler I picked up with brisket in mind. But the coolers are a bit large for the cooker output so should put the immersion cooker in the center for more even heat distribution. Which gets in the way of a brisket. And enough people posted no success to SV then smoking a brisket that the cooler is still sitting in the garage. With a brand new hole saw the size of the cooker shaft sitting inside it from a year ago.

Just my experience. Got an Instant Pot? Now that thing is a hell of a cooker. But damned if I will ever do ribs in it LOL. Although in the thirties below zero all bets are off, and I've learned by now to never say never.

 

I'm actually in need of a new wake iron as well. Gotsta have a good waffle iron . And a fondue pot would be pretty nice. Cheaper than the melting pot...

 

We have 2 fondue pot's, sometimes just hits the spot for a party. I need a new waffle iron, mine is total rubbish so I don't use it. Been thinking about a good double sided one (cooking 1 at a time sucks) I want to get some of the Belgian Pearl Sugar to use in the waffles (you can get it on Amazon) had some once and it was really good. Wife has been on my to get an Air Fryer and possibly an InstaPot.

 

Ya I had some fries from an air fryer was nice they weren't greasy. Will probably pick one of those up soon.

Ya fondue is cool for parties, I did learn to get some of it started on the stove and then transfer just for speeds sake. I need a few like the ones they use at melting Pot though, would be really cool for the parties.

 

Melting pot is good but to be honest you can do just as good at home for a lot cheaper. Many of their recipes are out on the net.

Wife told me when we build our next house that I should build my outdoor kitchen and she wants a pizza oven out there. I was like hmm, she wants the pizza oven I can put in my smoker, I want a nice charcoal pit for cooking, a couple of beer taps, nice tv.

Outdoor kitchen might cost more than the indoor one.

I adhere to KISS principals in the kitchen tho lol and it doesn’t really fit in.
That was an interesting use @PerazziMx14 had for it with the cheese bath tho....I might run that by mom when the milk cow comes back in and she gets into cheese production mode

 

Honestly started looking at SV for fish so it wouldn't make the whole house smell like fish. In the end still need to pan fry it to add color, or at least I do so I can eat it, so it was a wash anyhow. The Instant Pot that makes life easy. Not sure about for fish but certainly for chicken. FAST and easy.

Gave my waffle iron away to one of my sons when he moved out. Miss it but don't really need the carbs. He is moving back in at the end of the month for a while. I should tell him he can't move back in unless he brings the iron back too LOL but I am trying to avoid the carbs. But damn I love them and only use real maple syrup and sugar around here.

Grew up with fondue on Christmas Eve and New Years and still carry on the tradition. And more than a few times during the year. Nothing fancy for the oil

electric Teflon pot makes heating and cleanup a lot easier.

Never seen or used an air fryer before. Just great another kitchen thing to look into but I do love my wings

 

Yeah I had the same thought with the cheese and will at least look into it. When I used to get milk out of the bulk tank I wouldn't turn on the agitator and it would separate over night in the fridge and be half and half. Mom would give me hell but dad would just look at me smile and nod his head when mom wasn't looking.

 

Yep this fork tender, juicy & flavorful top round after 14hours at 135* looks horrible.

 

I'll be glad to take everything off your hands. I love traveling into WV and it would give me another excuse to plan an overnighter in Buckhannon.

It takes very little patience. Put it in the SV cooker and go to bed. Or put in SV cooker before leaving for work. No different than a crock pot but a better end product.

If you want fast eat Pop Tarts and pretend they are fillet
