You know, I changed the shank height but it never occurred to me to make any other adjustments.

Yeah you need to do the whole thing over again since your lift changed the height. Do that 1st before adding anything to it

Duratracs seem to be a good choice for year-round fun.

No complaints with mine! and I have driven through the bulk of these past storms. Thanks to the wind last Thursday I only needed to clear off one side of my truck lol

On Duratracs here and been quite happy with them. Seem pretty good in the snow so far... but mine are getting really loud on the highway. Got them lightly used so not sure on total milage, but over 20k and plenty of tread left.

Ive heard people have had issues with the sidewalls... but you could consider the E load if you worried about that.

Finally the car shopping bullshit is over for my girlfriend and I.... ended up just selling her a Buick Encore from the dealer I work for. Much easier than dealing with other assholes :crapstorm:

The ESS in our JGC is the worst part about it. Disabling it is the second thing we do after turning it on.

I had it shut off on my after backing out of a parking and putting it in drive and no immediately hitting the gas.

Snow tires and don't think about it again. I've never had issues with BFGs in anything other than snow and that was more the truck than the tire.

A friend had 265/75-16 Duratracs on his Xterrra (factory size) and I found them unacceptably loud. My BFGs were significantly quieter, even in Load E. I still don't get the hoopla about "E" tires. They ride the same to me, outside of being a bit less well balanced on the highway compared to a lighter stock tire.

Yeah my mom almost got an accident with it trying to merge at a stop sign. Think did a stop start stall crap and almost ended badly. Turning it off is the second thing after starting it

The only way I know to defeat it is an OBDII port unit that somehow gets rid of it every time you start the car, but with the Maxcare warranty on it, I don't want to give them any reason to deny a claim.

We tried getting the dealer to re program it but wasn’t to lucky. After owning it a year everyone’s gotten pretty used to turning it off though

It's funny, when we purchased it the saleseman told us about it and I said oh, that must help fuel economy and he said, no, not really and it just annoys everyone. I feel like I'm in the minority here, but I actually still kinda dig it for what it is. We've got the 75th so it's got some of the nicer gadgets but it was priced cheaper.

I feel like it would help in not to severe stop and go traffic. It’s cool tech but I like a certain level of old school. Like the hybrid tech, it’s cool but what you need to do to make the batteries and everything it’s almost worse overall. It’s funny when you can get a higher trim for the same price as the lower or cheaper

The new Buick’s are nice! We had their 4 door car as a rental and it drove great.
You should YouTube it, for the Ford’s, you can jumper the switch itself instead of hitting it every time. It fools the vehicle into thinking it’s always depressed. Or, try the tester in the trailer harness trick, it might work for Dodges also.

I’m visiting my folks in NH for a couple of weeks. I’m officially a New Englander again.

    For a couple of weeks...

Duratracs are OK, but weak sidewalls. I’ve done a few snow wheeling trips on my Cooper ST Maxxs. No complaints at all.

The Wife’s XJ always does well on the KM2s as well though

Couple more. I AM getting a little tired of this XJ making me look bad. My Wife enjoys it way too much...
