It's no secret that tonight's game for both team rides on their ability to run. The local radio guys said this on air earlier:

Alabama and Georgia are the top 2 rushing teams in the SEC, and are top-10 in the country. They have very similar per-game stats. Each team was held under 200 yards rushing only a few times this season...

UGA held under 200 yards twice

• @ Notre Dame - tough 1-point win*
• @ auburn - blowout loss

Alabama held under 200 yards rushing three times:

• Florida State (MB Stadium, ATL) - Blowout Alabama win
• La State - 14 point Alabama win (blowout?)
• Clemson (Sugar Bowl) - Blowout Alabama win

*I also realize this was Fromm's first start for UGA and a road game, neither of which will be true tonight.


Alabama's gotta load the box in hopes of stopping the most prolific pair of rushers in college football, and make Fromm win the game. My hope is that if UGA does the same, Hurts is able to do enough to still lead us to victory like he did in those three games.

Sure you can, I've seen lots of unsuccessful 3rd downs on offense by bama.

 

The good thing is smart hasnt been able to analyze our offense yet cuz he hasnt seen any of it...

Damn not what I expected so far.

 

I'll admit... This game FEELS over. It's not completely out of hand yet, but another UGA TD and it will be. If we go 3-out on the first possession in the 2nd half I'm going to turn the bottle up.
