You went into the lineup eventually:

I was under the impression some are passable. Some of the trails are rated as a 2 in normal season. Talked to some from of4 and it's not that harsh. But I'll message Ray himself and ask

Honestly, i was impressed with how that colorado did. But its kind of a hard comparison to say which was best.
Some guys were on AT some were on winters.

The Duratracs on that colorado were brand new since the truck is brand new, vs the jeep whos duratracs were almost bald.
it also depends where you are in the pack. If 2-3 trucks have already gone past and you're behind them then you're probably going to be fine since the snow is cleared and you just follow in their track.

Its a pretty hard comparison and all depends. Sure peter got stuck but he was also leading and was hitting the deepest snow drifts first.
I know when @Ttaco15 got stuck in a drift he got out on his own. Not sure if he locked the diffs or what but was impressed he got out. He was also the only one to attempt the hill climb and made it.
I was told last year it was not easy as it was much more slippery since it was warmer so snow was more packed and icy vs now where it was so cold it was all powder and not as slick. So I didn't try it since backing out of that will not be fun.

So can't really say whos was best as it can be as simple as who's tires were the newest and best for the snow, but that colorado was impressive.

Realistically these paths are not technical or anything so really it just depends if the snow is too deep and you get stuck and when you went through. If 10 trucks went by and flattened most of the drift and you're the 11th you'll have an easier time than the previous ones.

Oh stop, making the Colorado seem to good.

Ya only you and wes saw me where i got stuck. Honestly when I opened my door and looked what i did, I didn’t think i was getting out on my own. I locked both in 4lo just to give myself the best chance and it worked.

Hill climb took me two tries also.

Would be even better today after the good dumping we got last night. Woukd make things interesting

All in all everyone did pretty well. I got stuck on high snow with icy spots underneath but wasn't that bad. I should have increased speed through there, would have been fine.

    hahaha

well it did get out of that on its own which was impressive but thats the beauty of lockers.
But like I said its really hard to tell. Your tires were also brand new since your truck has very few km on it.

^Interestingly, on fresh snow, my truck's tracks are shallower than my footprints.

I have a compressor already so I'll probably go with the ARB ,have a rear bumper to go on next weekend . I busted that cheap plastic thing on our Yukon trip backing into a empty 45 gallon barrel .
Then at some point a lift.

My truck came with lockers front and rear... :D

And while researching the 'frozen air ride' issue, I came across a youtube vid that shows how to keep it in OFF ROAD mode. The REBEL is already an inch higher than a regular RAM with air ride. All I have to do is put it in OFF ROAD mode (2" lift above NORMAL), turn off the truck, then pull the air ride system fuse. The truck will remain in OFF ROAD mode at next start up (although I'll get a 'check air system' message for a brief moment), and won't go back down to NORMAL when I hit 30 kph. I tried it out in the field next door and it works good, so I'll be able to play a little more at the next snow run!!

... and, yes, I almost wept when I saw all those TACO's. I really miss mine. :(
