What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

That’s what I wanted to know was the sound when you hammer it, kinda what I’m going for. My stock air filter rattles like a SOB. Especially when I start the truck, no matter if it’s hot or cold.

 

I mean for cost effectiveness it’s a good idea. If it were me I’d figure out something to keep dirt and crap from getting in there, probably move it closer to the grill too. Or just buy a urd cai

 

Post pics of finished project when it’s done. I’ve become less and less a fan of the white 12+ gauge faces.

 

Ditch that screened in air filter. Robbing your motor of air. I took mine off 3 years ago and have 0 problems. Just pry at it with a flat head screw driver and it’ll come out. Try blowing through it when you get it out, it’s like trying to breathe through paper

 

Definitely Josh! Will definitely do it. Not a big fan myself, plus the white doesn't go with my murdered out theme, so definitely need to change.

 

Yeah that’s my issue too. Went with all the blacked out interior parts and actually prefer the look of the older 05-11 gauges but with the white backlighting.

I think your MAF cleaner affected the spark plugs when you first started it. Creating the random misfire p0300. It should clear up after you run it for a while burning out the cleaner. Next time clean your MAF first. Then start your truck to burn it out. Then put your new plugs in.

Looks nice man, I am waiting on my soldering iron to get here so I can install my blue LEDs in mine. I talked to blackcatcustom and they said the Tacoma is easy to swap faces since the needles have a fixed point as long as you understand how to identify them.

 

Hopefully it'll be nice and easy to do. I was reading the instructions last night, and not gonna lie, it scared me a bit. Removing the needles... with my luck, something will go wrong and/or break.

Nuno, when I replace my scratched up lens on the cluster I plan on using non glare, anti-scratch screen protectors for an ipad or tablet. That way I can clean it with whatevers handy
