That young quarterback showed a lot of class by emphasizing that it was a team effort.

I agree the officiating was horrid and it did lean towards Bama...which is incredibly surprising. But, not being a Bammer and just being a fan of college football, there were other calls missed against UGA as well. No shame whatsoever should be had by any UGA fan. Y'all are legit and will be back next year, hopefully us too. Way too many freshmen out there for y'all not to. Hell of a season and hell of a game! ROLL TIDE!

I just get tired of this kind of talk. Always, oh well y’all should be proud, you’ll get there, next year, great game, and Yada yada yada, it just gets old.

And we will have some fall off next year with so many leaving for the NFL. I kept telling myself to just enjoy it while it lasted. But in the end my emotions got the best of me.

Roll Tide! I think I had about 8 heart attacks during that game and need to buy a few remote controls (watch for flying objects) but geez what a game. Wow. Oh, does anyone have a son or cousin or whatever that can kick a freaking FG????

Losing too much this year to be back next year, I think. We may win the east, but i don’t expect to make it back to this level of play. 2 RB, our best WR, and our best defensive players will all be gone.

Rally cry of the Dawg nation for 38 years. “Wait til next year.”

After the missed FG at the end of regulation, I really thought this was our year. That was the only time In this game i was confident we were gonna win. That’s just the way it had to be. Something crazy like that is gonna win us a championship.

    Nope

PS, Jalen Hurts, get used to sitting on the bench. Tua is as good a runner, and 10x better passer.

It’s just a bitter pill to swallow. The Falcons last year. The Brave long run which did bring one chip out of like 15 years. The 2012 SECCG, now this, not just losing but how. This will take a while to get over. Mostly the how part. We had it.

Oh me too, then when we sacked Tua so far back I thought we had it again because of the Fg range.

There were missed calls all the way around. They didn’t make the difference. This was an epic game any way you slice it. As a Bama fan there were several missed calls that didn’t go our way and I also saw several that didn’t go your way. It happens but one thing for sure is this was not the best officiating. It seems the refs were erring on the side of letting them play at times and then some calls and non calls both ways were bizarre. Best of luck to your Dawgs - they played a great game.

That was me last year with Clemson. We had it. We should have won it. But, we lost. Your Dawgs will be back. Hiring Kirby ensured you’ll be a force for years to come. Hang in there and take care.

In 15 minutes or less UGA just saved me a ton of money on collegiate apparel. :anonymous:

Anyone else see the final AP rankings to end the year? Georgia loses last minute in the National Championship game and somehow is ranked 5th behind Clemson and Ohio State. Michigan State finishes in the top 10.

And Penn State is all the way down to 11 even after winning their bowl game when they were at 9. The kicker...the team they beat is ranked ahead of them?

    Am I missing something?

EDIT: I was missing something haha. I clicked the link for AP top 25 and scrolled down to ESPN’s way too early 2018 rankings or whatever they were called. No wonder they didn’t make sense.

I completely get that though. I lived through the Shula years as a Bama fan, that was our M.O. with him there. Yall have your "Saban" in Kirby Smart. He has already proven in only 2 years that he and UGA aren't going anywhere. I know I'm not the person you want to hear it from being a Bama fan, but just trust me, yall are going to be a force for years to come. Again, hats off to an incredibly hard fought match and to a great UGA team and their great fans.

Sad to have seen what was a great game ruined by officiating. I will take nothing away from Bama coming away with the win, especially in the hands of a freshman with limited playing time, but the calls and missed calls were just awful. Same reason NFL games are frustrating to watch. I understand not everything will be called and refs are human but damn, there was a lot of misses and terrible calls last night.

Isn’t it where teams begin the next year in the rankings though?
