Just found a bunch more info that Ferd released about their diesel F150 and it’s out for me. Only offering it through fleet sales in the XL and XLT trims and they didn’t give it the max payload package as an option. I know, it’s not a Yota but I was excited about it for a bit.

@Pugga I feel for you. I couldn't get a CD player and remote start in my wife's new Camry without adding in a $3000 option packge.

 

Hm... suspension talk (add a leaf to dakars) has me wondering.. with the bed slide, new tool box, fridge and soon RTT... maybe I should consider an AAL to the dakars....

 

I feel stupid. Apparently my fridge in the garage didn't shit the bed. I have a raised ranch. The garages aren't very insulated, if at all. So... Because of how cold it's been, and how cold it is in the garage, the compressor stops working. The copper pipes, or whatever metal they are made of, get cold because of how cold it is, so the compressor doesn't kick on cause it "thinks" the fridge and freezer are already cold because the pipes are cold. My buddy said the same thing happened to him, and my pops (who's a bit like MacGyver) basically confirmed it. Went into the garage a little while ago and the fridge was working. Phew!

 

My buddy had the same issue - he put a incandescent light behind it and it was enough to trick it to function normally.

 

Well, went and did a thing today......

I updated my daily commuter. Replaced the 06 TDI with a 15 Corolla S. The fuel economy was pretty much the same. Now there are two Toyota’s in the fleet.

 

That's not a bad idea right there. Definitely something to think about or even do, so this doesn't happen again. Thanks a lot for that Jason!

Probably could have just done that... That's how cold it was in the garage.

 

city water & natural gas were requirements last time I moved. So pleased I did.
But what's this "only 65 degrees"? I got tired of being cold & jacked the T-stat up from 58F to 66F last year. Terribly inefficient 1912 house, but 66 borders on HOT.

I have mine set to 67F because of the little ones. Sometimes I turn it up to 68 or a bit more right after bath time, while we're trying to get them dried off and dressed.
