    Oh Yeah!!!
    Whats up all,

Im searching and searching, but just cant find a simple smoked headlight replacement. I am eliminating all chrome on my truck and cant handle the sight of them glaring lamps up front. I see the ones on EBAY bun heard they leak.

    Found these:

    Not bad, $275

But they seem to have a little two much flare, and there is going to be some wiring mods, and I hate wiring. Give me a wrench and im good, hand me a pair of snips or soldering gun and im out... LOL..

want something like the 09 and up. If not I guess i will be trying the BHLM when I return:confused:

Oh well, if anyone has got a link let me know.

    Thanks.

Aftermarket headlights are lower in quality in every aspect you could possibly imagine! Just BHLM your oem headlights and you will be very happy. Aftermarket lights not only leak (because they are sealed with a sealant of waaay lower quality then oem silicone), they don't hold up well after time (burnt lenses, leaks) and have many other problems (shitty alignments). So pleaase stick with your oem headlights

Quick question, what's the purpose for the BHLM?

Is the mod for function or for looks?

My 2010 TRD Sport is Silver, so the chrome looks appropriate. Not sure what the black would look like.

If there's no functional benefit, then I'll skip the BLHM mod.

0% functional change, you're just changing the color of the inside, not the reflector bowl. IMO black looks the best on black and white tacomas but silver is very close behind

    Good point...

I found a set of plug and play halos that just require the BHLM. So I can get the black look im aiming for with a bit of a uniqueness to it.

    Here is a pic:

    Projector V2's
    [IMG]

    Install:
    Remove headlight from truck
    Remove stock bulb
    Remove stock bulb retainer hook
    Bake headlight
    Remove lens
    Remove stock bulb shield
Insert LS projector into stock bulb location, No cutting, No drilling, lock in place with LS projector retainer nut
    Bake headlight and lens
    Re-attach lens
    Re-seal lens
    Insert headlight in truck
    Wire bulbs/ballasts
    Light Em Up [IMG]

Best of both worlds with no crappy replica.

Now to build my confidence in baking the headlights....:D

I've had a set of Ebay lights on my truck for about 2 years now. And i Have never once had an issue. No leaks/fogging/failure of any kind. The only thing i did was just readjust the angle of the lights when i installed them. I stand by the ones i bought although many members will tell you to stay away.

Roxspin, Trust me when i say just bhlm your stock lights or bhlm and do a retro-fit projector setup on your stock lights. This is the absolute best way you can go! The pnp projectors that are out there like the ones in your pic. just suck imo! Don't waste your money man! There will be many guys support me on this!

Yeah, I pretty much decided to stick with the BHLM mod. Not going with the Retros either, cost too much. Rather put that money toward the new DTLT's...:D

Hey TacoSupreem, I might be hitting you up this summer just to make sure I got the recipe down pack, LOL...

Put them on, and they are great at night, halo's as running lights.
Plug & play other than the far bolt next to the fender..
I'm pleased with them, I like the looks also....
