What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

thinking about bumping up to the 700lb coil. I have icon 2.5s. Kings sells theres for 85 each and icon sells theres for 120 a piece, anyone use the kings?

 

Glad that turned out to be easy & hope that fixes the oil leaks.

All-Pro Apex bumper, winch, skids and sliders. Im thinking about going up because I have the pre load pretty much maxed out. Also with 700lb coils i could ditch my swaybar

 

What winch and are you using synth cable?

 

Smittybilt x2o 10k with sythn rope. Runs about 70ish lbs

ah. Well with a winch then you could. What are you running now? Id probably go with 650s. 700s won't be bad but would not want to preload them much.

Also. you can ditch the sway bar now. Im sure.

 

650s can hold quite a bit on the Icons, besides skids he was pretty similar to my old setup. I'd see about getting new 650s, I didn't hardly need any preload to maintain ~2.25" of lift.

 

Im at 650 currently, I took it off and put it back on because I didnt care for the ride. But since then I have switched my all pro standard leafs with expos so that might make a difference.

Either way. 650s should be okay unless your trying for more lift. Then 700s would be better.

No matter what, 700s will last longer.

 

Keep in mid that Icon coils are only 13" tall so they alway will have more threads showing that a 14" coil like King and Eibach (Fox) use.

@Dan8906 a 14'' coil alone will help a LOT vs a 13''.

Even a 14'' 650 will make a big difference. Id do that first.

 

I thought about doing that, but I was concerned it wouldnt make much difference. didn't want to waste money trying it out.
