    Being a Bucs fan, at this point in the year I usually just go for not the patriots... Jumping on the Jags train for now since I can watch the guys who used to play for FSU. Also think it would be cool to see the Vikings play a home SB.

    Meh. It's the playoffs; anything can happen. And this has been a weird & unpredictable season anyway, so I'm sure that the playoffs will be weird & unpredictable too. I mean, look at the first time the steelers and the Jags met this season. Pittsburgh fans were expecting an easy victory (I think the spread was 10 points) and they got curb stomped instead.

    Shrug. Wrong team can show up any day, though. That's the problem. When they do, you get outplayed. The Pats did it at their opener against the Chiefs, and our crappy defense at the first part of the season made a couple of lousy quarterbacks look like pro-bowlers.

    This is the same family that was in the news a few years back for violating league ownership rules because they had income from gambling enterprises (racetracks with slot machines, I think), right? The same family that tried to rip each other off when they consolidated their ownership because one family member tried to buy the other's shares in the team at less-than-face-value?

    4 Rooney brothers inherited 16% each of the team. 2 of those brothers happened to own gambling enterprises therefore sold off their shares.

    They didn't violate any rules, they were just required to sell their shares.

    If I remember right they inherited in the late 80's and the NFL made them restructure in the late 2000's because 20 years after the fact they were still in violation of the rules/bylaws/whatever set by the league :notsure:
