TN fishing licenses...

Is the trout permit good for 1 yr from date of purchase or does it always expire in Feb like regular fishing license?

 

Trout Tags expire at the end of FEB of every year. Most states do this cause of spawns. MO & AR are like this as well.

This is what I was told by the TWRA almost had a issues with them this year about that.

In AR the trout stamp was 12 month from date of purchase. I got one there in 11/2016 that was valid til 11/2017. Don't know if they've changed though since then.

If TN is same, great. But if it'll only be good for the next few weeks, I just won't bother with it.

 

Anyone local need these before I shit can? Came out of 05. I think.

 

To be honest

I'm looking at my license right now and it says "Trout - Exp 2/28/2018".

 

All annual TN wildlife and fishery related licenses expire on 2/18/18.

 

Well, I should say, 2/28 of each year

 

Or 29th if it’s a leap year.


I have my life time so I don’t have to worry about this stuff. I have had it for almost 13 years now and it has already more than paid for it self. I think when my parents got it for me is was like $600, with all the stuff I would get I’d spend over $100 a year.

 

My wife and I bought both our sons lifetime licenses for their first Christmas. It cost $200 if you buy it while they are young.

 

Yeah my parents did that for my little cousins. $200 if they are 2 or under I think. My patients got mine when I was 12, but was for my 13th Birthday. I’ll be 26 on the 28th.

I do some deer hunting, squirrel hunting, watch for rabbits when squirrel hunting and rabbit season is open. hunted turkeys a few times, dove a few times. Trout fishing is fun as well, don’t like fishing as much as I like hunting.

 

I almost bought a 4Runner this evening. Seriously. So close. Have preapproved loan and permission from wife even.
Had to call my mom and talk for an hour to get her to talk me out of spending all that $$$.
