Has anyone used seafoam in their gas before?

 

I use it all the time, before every oil change. Also use it in the motorscooter (CV carb'd) and lawn mower, and I use it in my generator as a fuel stabilizer. Great all-around product.

@CedarPark ,sorry you couldn't make it today but understand family comes first. Wanted to share a few photos of the T4R after we detailed it as well as the process I do to detail a truck after overlanding and hope we can do the same to your truck soon. Our vehicles can take a beating while on the trail

The process we did was Pressure wash to knock off dirt and mud. We then snow foam, rinse, and hand wash with Optimum No Rinse (ONR). I applied Optimum Sealant

Yes use it for my golf cart and my lawnmower, every tank of five gallons gets the amount needed. Never an issue starting.

 

No one uses it for their trucks though? I mean I guess I've had my truck called a lawn mower before so...

 

Me. The "before oil change" referred to the trucky. I do it before the oil change since the additive is a solvent and I'd prefer to ensure it finds it's way out of the engine before any oil dilution has a chance.

 

I put a whole bottle in the gas, another half gets sucked in the intake, then the other half in the crank case just prior to oil change.

NP, I added the rest to identify that it's one product that can be used across the board. I buy one thing and use it in everything.

 

Yep. The 40, when I first got it, had some bad gas in it. I took the missus on a trip over to Lake LBJ and there were a couple of loud ass backfires on the way. Dumped some Seafoam in, and everything has been fine ever since. Since I don't drive it that much, from time to time I'll drop a can of that, or Berryman's B-12 Chemtool in the tank, to keep things clean.

 

The intake method will blow the smoke and annoy the downwind neighbors.

 

I haven't used it in a few years since I had my Z06. I was running straight long tube headers (because racecar ) at that point. Was an interesting jaunt down the highway.
